'Absolutely vital': Charity staff thankful for 'important' donation
Staff at a Glasgow charity have opened up on the "importance" of a recent donation as they revealed their plans for 2025.

3D Drumchapel provides services for families in the area to strengthen relationships and empower locals to make positive changes.
The charity, which has been running for almost 28 years, received a donation of £10,000 from McDonald's on Great Western Road last month.

She said: "Grants are becoming more difficult to secure and so donations are a massive help to allow us to continue to journey with children, families and communities to build foundations for families to thrive.
"To be able to provide play sessions, parenting courses and financial support via sources such as food vouchers which we know are a great support to our community.
"A donation like this can support us greatly. With help towards materials and equipment, catering and room rental this allows us to continue providing our free daily sessions for the children and families of our local community.
"This will ensure our community has a safe space that inspires hope, growth and resilience for families in need."

The charity offers a range of practical and targeted support including clothing and equipment as well as family support from within two local primary schools.

They also offer a volunteer programme to help people from the local community to gain experience and relevant training for future employment.
Paige opened up on how importance of being able to offer these services to the community.
She continued: "Everyone is feeling the pinch of the current economic climate which means there are more families needing our support.
"These donations help us massively to be able to provide the support and ensure that families do not go without.
"3D takes pride in helping all of our families and we have been able to ensure families in crisis are supported despite the current economic climate.
"As a charity, we rely on a mixture of funding grants and donations to help us serve the families of Drumchapel, Knightswood and Yoker."

She added: "We will continue providing sessions and a safe place to our local community and supporting as many families as we can.
"We hope to expand and reach out to more people. The charity will also continue to run Bairn Necessities our clothing and toy bank for 0-5 years and hopes to increase community awareness at every opportunity.
"Excitingly, we have great plans to raise more funds for 3D, these will include a Ladies Day, The Kiltwalk, Christmas Market, The Rock Choir and a Glitter Ball."
