'Broke' Birmingham City Council received a welcome Christmas windfall after netting £1.2m in a matter of minutes. The beleaguered authority managed two quickfire land sales at auction.It sold freehold land off Coleshill Road, in Hodge Hill, for £1.06m - £660,000 above the guide price. The vacant "walkie talkie-shaped" site, accessed between 14 and 18 Coleshill Road, extends to approximately 4,089 square metres.It was suitable for a variety of uses subject to obtaining the necessary planning...
