'Gassy' Whoopi Goldberg Fuming Over Shared Dressing Room Drama at The View: 'I Can't Even Pee in Peace!'

Whoopi Goldberg is reportedly livid over The View’s studio shake-up, with insiders saying she’s “whining the loudest” about having to share dressing rooms (and more importantly, restrooms—at the show’s new headquarters in downtown Manhattan.
According to sources, ABC’s decision to merge multiple network shows into the same facility has left Goldberg and her longtime co-host Joy Behar fuming, while The Tamron Hall Show host has been far more accepting of the changes.
“Tamron’s been joking about leaving sticky notes for Whoopi, but Whoopi is not laughing,” an insider told RadarOnline. “She and Joy are acting like sharing space is beneath them—side-eyes, snide remarks, the whole diva routine.”
While the new studio is state-of-the-art, Goldberg’s biggest complaint is her lack of a private en suite bathroom. At the old studio, the 69-year-old had the largest dressing room, complete with a shower and a personal toilet. Now, she’s stuck using the communal women’s restroom down the hall—something she’s reportedly been grumbling about non-stop.
“She doesn’t want to share, and she’s making sure everyone knows it,” the source said. “But let’s be real—people aren’t exactly thrilled about having to share a bathroom with her either.”
Goldberg’s, ahem, digestive issues have been a running joke among The View staff for years. She famously let one slip on-air in early 2023, causing co-hosts Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Sara Haines to struggle to keep their composure. Behar, meanwhile, was visibly disgusted.
“Of course, people remember she has gassy problems so they’re not that enthused about having to share a bathroom with her either.”
“It’s been an issue for a while,” the insider continued. “The ladies will be discussing something serious, and suddenly—poof—a noise, a smell, and the conversation derails.”
While Goldberg and Behar are reportedly treating the studio move as a personal insult, their colleagues are quickly losing patience.
“The View team is under enormous pressure right now—this is a critical year for the show, and people don’t have time for petty complaints,” the source added. “Producers are telling Whoopi to get over it and stop wasting everyone’s time.”
But for Goldberg, it seems the real hot topic isn’t politics or pop culture—it’s her missing private bathroom.
The PEN/Faulkner Foundation will narrow the finalists to five and reveal the winner in April.
