Donald Trump ally Charlie Kirk tried to support the President-elect's recent decision on TikTok, but his MAGA fans weren't having it.

Kirk on Sunday took to Trump's social media site, Truth Social, to advertise the former and incoming president's decision.

"BREAKING: TikTok is currently restoring services after President Trump gave assurances that providers would not face penalties," Kirk wrote. "The company is working with the incoming administration on a 'long-term' plan to remain operative in the U.S.""

The pushback was immediate. One user, @TakTik, purports to be an "American Patriot calling all Americans to organize and mobilize for the defense of the nation, our cities and our communities."

"Why do we care so much about TikTok?" the user asked. "This is really weird that we are nationally obsessed with keeping this Chinese spyware alive. Make it make sense."

Mymouthmywords, who identifies as an "America loving, flag waving patriot," said, "I don't agree with Trump on this."

"Ban it," the user added on Sunday.

An account called rejoicing1, which shares videos and information from Trump, said to Kirk, "Not sure this is wise."'

An account that uses Trump as their background image, @ToxicMale said, "No!!! We missed a great opportunity to ban this stupid Chinese app once and for all."

Kurt Wray, a self-proclaimed Trump supporter, said, "That’s a bad idea."
