'Real reason' BGT's Teddy Magic 'pulled out' mid-show as fans demand answers
Britain's Got Talent fans were left concerned after Teddy Magic, 8, pulled out of the first live semi-final of the series.
Britain's Got Talent viewers are clamouring for clarity after Teddy Magic pulled the plug on his appearance in the first live semi-finals. The series sprang into action this Saturday (April 26) as dinosaur rock band Heavysaurus opened the show. Anticipation was high for eight year old Teddy Magic to dazzle as the second act, but following his introduction, hosts Ant and Dec announced the young magician 'wasn't ready' to take the stage.
The pair then engaged the judges about Heavysaurus to fill the time, whilst a visibly irate Simon Cowell seethed at the disruption. Ant said: "Now Teddy isn't quite ready backstage yet, so we'll chat to you judges," with Dec chipping in that they would need to implement a "little change of plan". Cowell, clearly agitated, questioned, "Wait, so the act's not ready? ," to which Ant fired back: "He's only eight years old, so back off!", reports Manchester Evening News.Â
Following the impromptu discussion with the judging panel, the dynamic duo moved forward with act three, Vinnie McKee, with Dec noting: "We're going to go to something else and come back to Teddy later on."
However, as the episode unfolded, it was confirmed by the pair that Teddy Magic would be bowing out from the night's event, promising hopes of his return in a later segment of the competition.
Teddy's sudden exit has sparked a wave of concern among fans, who are feverishly seeking explanations for his no-show. RadioTimes has reported that a âlast-minute issue with the performanceâ was what led the team to postpone the act.Â
Social media is buzzing, particularly on X, where @IndeedItsMark expressed the collective anxiety: "I think we all just want to know. Is #TeddyMagic ok? ."
Concerned fans took to Twitter seeking updates on Teddy Magic's sudden absence from the show. @Vann_Kay tweeted: "@BGT what happened to Teddy Magic? He is okay? ! ! Bit awful of @bgt not to provide any news or reassurance."
@AmyTeamLH expressed worry, saying: "Something serious must've happened for Teddy to not perform tonight. I truly hope he's alright. Poor kid."
@its_kirstyxoxo speculated: "I'm guessing teddy was too nervous to perform poor kid #BGT." Another viewer, @willwontmaybe, called for transparency: "They could at least give us a little update to let us know teddy is ok #bgt."
