'Shocked' Chloe Madeley - -Ex James Haskell's new woman is 'kick in the teeth'
A source claims that Chloe Madeley is stunned at how fast her rugby star ex has moved on with a new woman after their split - but she 'wishes James well'

As James Haskell sparks romance rumours with a stunning new woman following his split from Chloe Madeley in late 2023, it must be leaving the fitness guru with some mixed feelings. Sports star-turned-DJ James, 39, who co-parents his and Chloeâs daughter, Bodhi, is reportedly dating glamorous blonde advertising executive Helen Barclay, 34 - who is recently divorced and strikes more than a passing resemblance to his famous ex.
Itâs thought their relationship had been heating up over recent months and they were spotted last week enjoying a dinner in Knightsbridge after the pair first met over a year ago, with reports that the pair have enjoyed several cosy dates and spent lots of time at each otherâs homes. Now a source tells that, understandably, it was a lot for Chloe to take in at first, reports OK!

Getty Images)âShe was a bit shocked at first that James had moved on so quickly. She doesnât want to be with James or to go back at all, she is over it, but it was a bit of a kick in the teeth for Chloe to see them together at first.â
Despite her initial reaction to Jamesâ new relationship, the source goes on to maintain that Chloe, 37, knows that ultimately, this could be a good thing for everyone- and is happy for her ex-partner. âShe wishes James well and knows that if heâs happy, then heâll be the best father he can be, so thatâs all she wants. She wants James to be there for Bodhi and knows that he will do that best when heâs in a good place, so sheâs hoping this relationship will settle him down.â
Days after news of the supposed new romance emerged, Chloe broke her silence on social media with a seemingly defiant post, sharing a snap of herself posing with the former coupleâs daughter and telling her 291,000 followers: âMy 2025 is all about this:â Returning to her Instagram Stories the following day, Chloe shared another picture of herself and Bodhi about to set off on a car journey, with no caption this time but using the Taylor Swift track So Long, London as its soundtrack.

There might be love on the horizon for her at some point, but it wonât be anytime soon.â
And James seems to be making no secret of his feelings towards new flame, divorced mum-of-two Helen, flirting online and calling her âfitâ under one of her Instagram snaps. Chloe, meanwhile, has been very open about the former coupleâs split, which they announced in November 2024, having tied the knot in 2018. Just last month, she admitted candidly that the painful final year of their marriage was âawful, dark, and one of the worst periods of my life.â
But it seems the mum-of-one, who is daughter of TV royalty Richard and Judy, knew it was the right thing to do, as she also said,âItâs a good thing we ended it. It was so incredibly scary. Iâm amazed I got through it in the way that I did.â
Revealing what led to the breakdown of her union with James, Chloe previously explained, âIâm one of those people that needs structure and routine. My ex, and I, I think, one of the reasons things became so hard for us was because he thrives in chaos. His schedule, I donât even remember when he was in England for a full week.

Last May, Chloe seemed to be at peace over their split and any thoughts of James dating again, confessing, âI decided that I didnât want to be in my relationship any more, so I donât get to be angry when he moves on.â
She added, âIâve heard people say, âWell, letâs see how happy they are when thereâs new people in the pictureâ. But Iâm actually kind of here for James getting a new partner because thereâs a lot of positives in it. Heâs a great dad and heâs very respectful of Bodhi, so Iâm genuinely not worried about that element.â
Hopefully, she still feels that way now. Life can throw us all curveballs when we least expect it - but it sounds very much like Chloe, who runs two successful fitness businesses as well as appearing on TV, is already navigating this new chapter with positivity.
In fact, the star admitted last December that she does want to find love again, with plans to marry and welcome âmore kidsâ, joking: âIâm just hoping some guy is going to fall in my lap and Iâll be like: âThis is it,â like a romcom. But that doesnât happen.â
