“Mickey 17” Becomes First Film Of 2025 To Surpass 3 Million Moviegoers At Korean Box Office
Bong Joon Ho’s latest film “Mickey 17” has officially surpassed 3 million moviegoers!
On April 7, the Korean Film Council announced that as of 5:28 p.m. KST that day, “Mickey 17” had recorded a total of 3,000,006 moviegoers, making it the first film released in 2025 to reach the 3 million mark at the Korean box office.
Helmed by “Parasite” director Bong Joon Ho, “Mickey 17” is a science fiction black comedy film starring Robert Pattinson as an “expendable”—a disposable clone worker—named Mickey Barnes. However, things go very wrong during one regeneration when one of his clones—“Mickey 17”—is mistakenly presumed dead.
Congratulations to the cast and crew of “Mickey 17”!
