“Only Human”: Billy Joel Postpones January Concert in Hollywood, Florida, Due to a “Medical Procedure”
Billy Joel has postponed his upcoming concert in Hollywood, Florida,until November because of an unspecified “medical procedure.”
Billy Joel fans who had plans to see the Piano Man in concert this Friday, January 17, at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, will now have to wait until the fall to catch him at the venue. Joel’s show has been postponed until November 1 because of an unspecified “medical procedure.”
Tickets for the January 17 show will be honored on the rescheduled date. Fans who purchased tickets but are unable to attend the November 1 concert will be able to get refunds at the point of purchase until Tuesday, March 11.

“I’m disappointed to share that I must postpone my concert at Hard Rock Live,” Joel said in a statement. “I appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing everyone in November.”
The 75-year-old Rock & Roll Hall of Famer recently played another concert at the same Florida venue on November 23, 2024.

The now-postponed January 17 show was to have been Billy’s first live performance of 2025, following a New Year’s Eve gig in Elmont, New York. Joel’s next scheduled show is a co-headlining event with Sting that’s set for February 8 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
Joel has 12 other confirmed concerts lined up for 2025.
The Piano Man has headlining concerts scheduled for February 22 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and March 15 in Toronto. He also has four other joint dates with Sting. They’re scheduled for April 11 in Syracuse, New York; April 26 in Milwaukee; May 10 in Charlotte, North Carolina; and May 23 in Salt Lake City.
In addition, Joel will team up with Stevie Nicks for a March 29 show in Detroit and an August 8 concert in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
In June, Billy will head to the U.K. for two concerts. They’re scheduled for June 7 in Edinburgh, Scotland, and June 21 in Liverpool, England.
Rounding out Joel’s confirmed 2025 tour plans are a pair of co-headlining shows with Rod Stewart. The first is scheduled for July 8 in Pittsburgh and the second is a recently announced July 18 performance that will be held at the historic Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York.
