Parasite producer Barunson E&A is boarding Thai studio GDH‘s feature Delete, which is based in the universe created in the Netflix series of the same name. Parkpoom Wongpoom will return as director and writer, with the film shifting the action to the South Korean capital, Seoul. The film will primarily be shot in Korean. Delete explores an ominous world where a mysterious phone has the power to erase people from existence. Brunson E&A, known for Bing Joon-ho’s Oscar winner Parasite, launched international operations in 2022 and has since invested in and handled sales on non-Korean titles such as Taiwanese gangster rom-com Miss Shampoo and Vietnamese horror-comedy Don’y Cry, Butterfly. GDH is known for Asian box office hits such as last year’s How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies and 2017’s Bad Genius, which was recently adapted as a Hollywood movie produced by Erik Feig and Patrick Wachsberger.
