‘White Lotus' Star Charlotte Le Bon Thought Patrick Schwarzenegger Might Throw Up Filming Incestuous Kiss
Charlotte Le Bon, who plays Chloe in season 3 of 'The White Lotus', explained how they filmed that incestuous kiss scene with Patrick Schwarzenegger and Sam Nivola.
It was the kiss that sent shockwaves around the world. On last night's episode of The White Lotus, things took a riveting and rather distressing turn when brothers Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger) and Lochlan Ratliffe (Sam Nivola) were goaded into locking lips during a drunken full moon yacht after-party. It was a moment that was disturbing even by White Lotus standards.
The shocking moment happened thanks to the meddling of Charlotte Le Bon's Chloe, the party girl dating Jon Gries's Greg/ Gary. Looking for some excitement to drag her out of the dull dreariness of her gilded existence, Chloe egged the brothers on. It seemed that Lochlan didn't need much encouragement as, after a chaste peck, he went in for another kiss.

Speaking to Vulture, Le Bon explained that the two actors each had their own approach to the uncomfortable moment.
"Well obviously they’re not brothers by blood, so that made it easier," she said, adding, "For Sam, he was kind of like, it’s whatever, let’s just do it well one time and it will be over. You know? Because if you don’t do it well the first time then you have to do it over and over again."

Schwarzenegger, however, found it more "difficult", according to Le Bon. "Patrick’s reaction in the episode is his genuine reaction," she said. "We all thought he was going to throw up. And Sam was like, 'It’s fine, it’s just a kiss, calm down!'"
Le Bon also mused about why Chloe might have wanted the brothers to kiss. "I think Chloe is deeply, deeply bored," she said. "There’s a void inside of her. She fills that void with partying, sex, and chaos. This kiss between the two brothers for her is just pure entertainment, which is obviously really evil when you think about it."

Before the season kicked out, Schwarzenegger spoke to InStyle about his role on the show. Although he was careful not to spoil any details about story, he said, “This is what you dream of. To join something that has a large audience and that people love, that you get to contribute to…it’s an opportunity that’s so rare.”
