The movie is set in the not-too-distant future in which humanityâs population is overrun to the point that the government seeks volunteers to regularly be killed off. The film focuses on a family put in a precarious situation when their parentsâ plan to volunteer becomes complicated.
The movie features a pitch-dark comedic tone as this affluent family finds themselves faced with the realities of the crumbling world for the first time and quickly falls apart. There is also a wonderful cast who help to see the offbeat nature of the story, with Jay Baruchel, Emily Hampshire, Peter Gallagher, and Enrico Colantoni in a hilarious role as the government official who has come to collect.

It is a movie about imperfect parents who discover it is never too late to make an impact.
