1923 season 2 cast as major character 'destined' for death
1923 season 2 has dropped on Paramount Network and Paramount Plus with new episodes airing every week and viewers are desperate to see if Spencer Dutton (played by Brandon Sklenar) makes it back to Montana
1923 fans are fully behind Spencer Dutton, played by Brandon Sklenar, as he yearns to reunite with his love Alex, portrayed by Julia Schalepfer. He's making strides to return to his family in Montana, who are dealing with devastating events.
At the season one finale, audiences saw Spencer and Alex part ways as Spencer hopped on a ship back to Montana, and Alex promised to follow him there. The teaser for the forthcoming season hints at fresh challenges awaiting Spencer as he races against time to make it home.
Over at the Dutton homestead, Cara Dutton, brought to life by Helen Mirren, takes the lead after her partner Jacob, played by Harrison Ford, sustains severe injuries. But she's got her own battles, facing off against Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) and Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton), with the ranch under the shadow of peril.
Donald has his sights on converting the ranch into a "playground for the elite".

Confiding to the Daily Express, he revealed: "He was coping with his PTSD by chasing danger and putting himself in harm's way.
"[Spencer's] kind of, almost, trying to kill himself. He's drinking himself to death, he's putting himself in these circumstances because it's the only way he knows how to feel anything.
"It's the only way he knows how to feel alive."

However, injuries nudged him back towards acting as his on-screen journey resumed.
Elizabeth Strafford - Michelle RandolphElizabeth Strafford adds youthful energy to the screen, portrayed by Michelle Randolph, the 27 year old American star known for her work in 'Landman' and 'The Resort'.
Her sister Cassie Randolph is a TV personality who emerged victorious on Season 23 of The Bachelor.

Alongside his co-star Robson Green from Soldier Soldier, he also performed as part of the musical duo Robson and Jerome in the 1990s. He was briefly in a relationship with Game of Thrones co-star Lena Headey until they parted ways in 2014.
Donald Whitfield is played by Timothy DaltonDonald Whitfield - Timothy DaltonTimothy Dalton is a 78 year old British actor famous for portraying the fourth James Bond. His other acting credits include roles in The Crown, Jane Eyre, and Doom Patrol.
Dalton was in a relationship with musician Oksana Grigorieva and they had a son together before separating in 2003.
Zane Davis - Brian GeraghtyZane Davis is portrayed by Brian Geraghty, a 49 year old American actor recognised for his roles in Jarhead, The Hurt Locker and Boardwalk Empire.
When he's not on set, he loves to surf.
Clive - Brian KonowalClive is played by Brian Konowal, an American actor and producer who has appeared in Barry and Clockers.
One of his standout roles was in The Most Popular Girls in School back in 2012.
We can also expect some new guest stars to make appearances as the series progresses.
