Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran Chris Evans breaks his silence on reports that he will be back for Phase 6 in Avengers: Doomsday.
In a new feature with Esquire promoting Anthony Mackie's Captain America: Brave New World movie, the outlet got the Sam Wilson star's reaction to Evans supposedly coming back for Avengers: Doomsday, as he stated, “I learned that right there. My manager showed me. He’s like, ‘Oh, so I guess Chris is coming back.’ That’s all I know. I haven’t seen a script.” But Esquire also managed to get a comment from Evans about his alleged Avengers: Doomsday return, as the former Steve Rogers actor revealed the following:
That’s not true, though. This always happens. I mean, it happens every couple years—ever since Endgame. I’ve just stopped responding to it. Yeah, no—happily retired!
