Actor Choo Young Woo's Frustrated Fan Shares Original DM After Being Accused Of "Sabotaging" His Career
Some skeptical Choo Young Woo fans harassed another fan who exposed the rookie actor as being a "repeat offender" of risky social media activity.
When Choo Young Woo from the hit Netflix K-Drama The Trauma Code: Heroes On Call faced backlash for following KUBIN, a female streamer deemed somewhat problematic for the nature of her content, the rising actor was quick to unfollow and apologize.

Soon after the apologetic interview, though, one fan came forward and called him out for being a ârepeat offender.â Sharing a screenshot of a long DM sent to Choo Young Woo in the past, the fan exposed that he had been warned about a similar situation in 2021.
Rising Actor Choo Young Woo Get Outed As âRepeat Offenderâ
At least Choo Young Woo listens if you tell him⊠This also had something to do with him following racy streamers. Seems like people donât change after all. The streamer he was following back then was a lot worse, too. Funny how he unfollowed like 30 people after I sent this.

But because the âOPâ fan had blurred out the actual message that was sent, other skeptical Choo Young Woo fans alleged that the OP was sabotaging his career, digging up old DMs and fueling a fake scandal.
In response, the OP then revealed the original DMânoting that they were harassed into making the decision. The DM explained the potential risks of keeping problematic followers on his official Instagram account and asked Choo Young Woo to be more mindful of his actions.

OP: I had blurred the message because I was embarrassed about the fact that I liked someone like him so much that I felt the need to send him this entire essay. Why are you all harassing me over this?
DM: Hello, actor Young Woo. Iâm a fan who recently started following your account after learning about you not too long ago. Iâm DMing you to talk to you about the list of people youâre following. I noticed that it includes some models and streamers. In fact, you recently followed a new one, too. I know there is a chance that you know them personally. But out of concern, I just wanted to mention that everyone can see who youâre following. Iâm afraid you might find yourself in unnecessary trouble or be misunderstood over it. It is true that other celebrities have been under fire for who theyâre following or subscribing. With Police University airing right now and School 2021 to premiere soon, Iâm sure youâll gain more fans and followers. So I worry that something like this could later hurt you. Again, Iâm only bringing this up because Iâm a fan of yours and I want the best for you. I pray that you wonât feel offended by what I said. Iâm rooting for all the success youâre going to see soon!
Choo Young Soo: Thank you for the good adviceâŠ!
OPâs DM has since been deemed gentle and thoughtful, despite some who believed it was invasive. Online comments denounced the actor for making the same mistake twice and his fans, too, for harassing the OP about the DM. One pointed out, âItâs his âfansâ actually sabotaging his career right now by harassing the OP to confirm that he is indeed a repeat offender.â
| theqooâI guess some fans do send messages that invasive. Iâd hate it if I were him.â
âHis âfansâ are real stupid for pissing the OP off and having them reveal the full DM, LOL.â
âThe OP was so thoughtful to be looking out for him. He should have been more conscious of his choices following this DM conversationâŠâ
âI still donât understand why he had to use his official Instagram account to follow the streamers.â
âSo embarrassing for him.â
âJust make a burner account, dude⊠Making money way too easy.â
Choo Young Woo has not commented further on the controversial buzz surrounding his social media activities.
