Christine Tremarco has opened up about the buzz around a possible second season of Netflix's smash Adolescence, where she stars as Manda Miller.
The series has been a hit since its release on 13 March, exploring the gripping tale of a 13-year-old boy charged with the murder of a female peer, sparking crucial discussions on pressing social issues.
The actress appeared on ITV's Lorraine on Monday, March 24, to discuss the show's success. During her interview with host Lorraine Kelly, Christine revealed a surprising personal link to Stephen Graham, who plays her husband in Adolescence.
Christine divulged: "Me and Stephen have known each other since we were kids. Our mums were best friends when we were growing up in Kirby.
"So, I think that our friendship, without a doubt, lent itself to Manda and Eddie and their relationship."

Adolescence was born out of Stephen's response to the escalating issue of knife crime in the UK, prompting him to collaborate with writer Jack Thorne on the project, as reported by Surrey Live.
In the compelling drama, Stephen and Christine play parents Manda and Eddie, with Owen Cooper playing their son, Jamie Miller.
Fans have been busy predicting whether Adolescence will return for a second run after smashing TV records with its first series.

Lorraine couldn't resist asking: "Do you think there might be a sequel? I'd love to find out what happens. I'm left with so many questions!".
Spilling the beans, Christine said: "You're not alone, a couple of people have said that! But maybe that's a good thing because it leaves you thinking about what would happen afterwards. But, I think this is a one-off. I think ends with episode four."
Lorraine airs on weekdays on ITV1 from 9am. Adolescence is available to stream on Netflix.
