Alan Titchmarsh speechless as guest makes sharp comeback during awkward chat
Alan Titchmarsh was joined by actress Anne Reid and actor Julian Rhind-Tutt on the latest instalment of his ITV show, Love Your Weekend.

During the latest episode of Alan Titchmarsh's Love Your Weekend, things got a tad awkward. ITV audiences witnessed the 75-year-old presenter chatting with stars Anne Reid and Julian Rhind-Tutt during Sunday's programme.
Alan pointed out that the pair had previously crossed paths while working on BBC's Inside No. 9, to which Anne quipped: "We met in a wardrobe."
Julian chimed in with a humorous recollection, adding: "We did! We had some intimate couple of days together, didn't we? Locked in a wardrobe, yes."
He informed Alan that they featured in both the first episode, which debuted in 2014, and the final one, in 2024.
Anne interjected, saying: "I was on drugs in the last one." However, this comment seemed to take Alan by surprise.
Seeking clarification, he queried: "What, in the play, you were on drugs? Or were you having a bad day and you needed painkillers?"
Anne's retort to his inquiry was sharp as she hit back: "Well, what's it to you?"
This prompted laughter from Alan as she clarified her drug use was within the context of the play, reports, Wales Online.
Alan then light-heartedly remarked: "What a glamorous life you actors lead, it's astonishing isn't it?"
The conversation also touched upon Anne's accolade as Pin-Up of The Year in the Oldie Magazine Awards in 2014, with Alan alluding to both her and Julian's status as 'sex symbols'.
He remarked: "My researchers told me you were something like Sex Pot Of The Year or something in 2014."
But Anne clarified: "No, I know what you're thinking of. I was Pin-Up Of The Year. The Oldie magazine, darling."
When asked if it equated to the same title, Anne set the record straight as she expanded on the accolade she received.
Explaining the event to Alan, she recounted: "I went to a lunch. Terry Wogan wrote to me and said 'you've been voted Pin-Up Of The Year' and they had a lunch, terribly famous people were there.
"John Major had his wife came and kissed me, Jilly Cooper wrote to me and I sat next to Baroness Trumpington. I had to make a speech and it was an amazing lunch but it's not the same as being a sex symbol."
