Alex Jones says 'you never know' as she shares what she does in her spare time
The One Show host has shared on Instagram what she gets up to when's she not presenting the popular show.
The One Show presenter, Alex Jones, has a new favourite pastime and has shared on her Instagram her and husband, Charlie Thomson have been on an interiors mission at antique markets. Sharing their scouring exploits to her social media, Alex, who moved out of London last year with her family and their new dog, said it was 'fun' to find those individual pieces to give their home character.

She added: “Charlie and I absolutely love going to antique fairs to find furniture and knick-knacks that give the house an individual feel. I like the things in our house to have history and tell a story and that’s why I always like mixing new bits with antiques. It is so much fun finding treasure and you can get a bargain (although antique markets further away from London tend to be cheaper.)
“On this particular morning, we were on the hunt for a chest of drawers for our bedroom but unsurprisingly, I got very distracted…"
Alex’s distraction is apparent as many items draw her eye, and sidetracked her from her goal of finding a chest of drawers.
She later then uploaded a second part of the video, which featured yet more distracts and antique gems including a beautiful room divider.
The presenter admitted: “Charlie and I have been coming here regularly, once I bought 12 church pews and then decided I didn't know what to do with them. They're in a lock up somewhere.”
Despite not finding what they were looking for the pair claimed to still have had a lovely day out. She posted: “How gorgeous was that room divider? I’m still thinking about it. That’s the beauty of these markets, you never quite know what you’re going to come across. We saw so many treasures on this particular day.
“Take this as your sign to head down to your local antique fair… you never know what gems you may find x”

The video sees the presenter running around Sunbury Antiques, which is located at Kempton Park Racecourse in Sunbury-on-Thames and is held every second and last Tuesday of every month with inside and outside stalls.
