Amanda Abbington tearful as she says it's 'time to move on' after 'hardest year'
Amanda claimed she was subject to 'nasty bullying' while on the BBC show
Former Strictly Come Dancing contestant Amanda Abbington has said that it's 'time to move on' after enduring one of the 'hardest years' of her life.
The Sherlock actress previously revealed that she received 'hundreds' of death threats on social media after claiming she was subject to a 'toxic environment' and behaviour that she alleged was 'inappropriate, mean, nasty bullying' while competing on the BBC One show with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice in 2023

The BBC upheld 'some but not all' of the allegations made by Amanda, 51, about Giovanni, 34, who has denied the accusations over the past several months.
Italian dancer Giovanni, who 'rejected any suggestion of abusive or threatening behaviour', welcomed the conclusion of the BBC review.
It is understood to have had no findings relating to physical aggression but complaints of verbal bullying and harassment were upheld.

The BBC updated its duty of care practices on the show after the review, and led Strictly to having chaperones present when celebrities and dancers are practising their routines.
Appearing on Monday's edition (March 17) of This Morning, Amanda spoke to presenters Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard about starring in Rosie Day's play (This is not a) Happy Room, which will run at the Theatre Royal Windsor from May 13 to May 17.

Asked by Cat Deeley about her 'tricky year'. Amanda replied: "It's been a tricky year, we don't want to go over old ground. That was done and I'm happy with what happened.
"Not happy, but I don't regret what happened. It's time for everybody to move on. It was one of the hardest years of my entire life. Having to battle that was tricky."
Later in the interview, Amanda opened up about her and her fiance Jonathan Goodwin, who rose to fame on Britainâs Got Talent, and their decision to postpone their wedding to next year.

Daredevil Jonathan was left paralysed during rehearsals of Americaâs Got Talent: Extreme, with a litigation case regarding the incident ongoing.
"We just want to get this year out of the way, we stil got things hanging over us. We want to get this year out of the way and focus on having a wonderful celebration next year," she said.
Amanda added: "I love him with all my heart, he's been such a rock and he's been so incredibly inspiring everday. Even when he's negative, he's positive.
