Andy Cohen Shuts Down RHOBH Rumor For Good
Andy Cohen set the record straight on a "Real Housewives" rumor.
Andy Cohen set the record straight on a rumor that he is trying to get Lisa Vanderpump to return to âThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.â
Vanderpump, an original RHOBH cast member, appeared in the first nine seasons of the Bravo reality show but stepped away in 2019 amid an ongoing feud with Kyle Richards and other co-stars over the castâs âPuppyGateâ drama.
Speaking on his Sirius XM radio show âAndy Cohen Live,â on January 21, Cohen said, âIt was repeated all over the place that Iâm trying to get Lisa Vanderpump back on the Housewives of Beverly Hills. Now, let me restate my abject love for Lisa Vanderpump. But I donât know where the rumor came from and like, I donât see her coming back to that show.â
Cohenâs co-host John Hill agreed that the Housewives doesnât need Vanderpump back and she doesnât need to go back because sheâs âgot her own thing going onâ with other shows and business ventures.
Cohen also noted that Vanderpump isnât friends with most of the current cast members. âAlso, I mean she and Dorit and Kyle are, you know [estranged],â he added. âI guess sheâs kind of friends with Garcelle [Beauvais]. But I donât even think she has any desire or they have any desire to interact.â
Cohen did note that he loves that Vanderpump and Richards tend to run into each other about âonce a yearâ and are forced to interact. âIt seems like when they run into each other publicly they have a little shade with each other, which I appreciate,â he said.
The rumor that Cohen addressed may have originated from a source for OK magazine. A source close to production claimed to the outlet, âRumors have been circulating around Beverly Hills that Andy Cohen wants Lisa Vanderpump to return to âThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.'â The insider touted a cast shakeup, adding, âWith âVanderpump Rulesâ getting completely revamped, it would be the perfect time for that to premiere and to bring Lisa back to the show she was an original cast member on.â

Vanderpump still appears on âVanderpump Rulesâ and has starred in other TV projects including âVanderpump Villa,â âOverserved With Lisa Vanderpumpâ and more.
She has repeatedly said she has no interest in returning to the Real Housewives franchise.
In an interview with Page Six in 2022, Vanderpump described the show as  âa nightmare.â âIâm happy I left. I tried to leave three or four times,â she claimed.
âI would never go back,â she added. âThatâs a hot mess that I could do without.â
Some fans agreed that she should stay away.
âHallelujah. It would be absurd to bring her back,â one commenter wrote on Instagram after hearing Cohenâs comments.
âLISA IS HER OWN SHOW ???????? SHE DONâT NEED TO BE AROUND THOSE CATTY [expletive],â another wrote.
Getty Lisa Vanderpump, Kyle RichardsBoth Richards and Vanderpump have talked about the run-ins theyâve had in the five years since their friendship ended. During a November 5, 2024 fan Q&A on Amazon Live, Richards described an âinterestingâ encounter she had with Vanderpump.
âI did see her recently actually and I said hi,â Richards told her Amazon Live followers. âShe was with [her husband] Ken. It wasnât that long ago, like within a month ago or so. And she was actually friendly. Â Ken always gives a little kiss or whatever, and sheâs a little colder but it was an interesting encounter. It wasnât bad. It didnât go badly, I will say that.â
Of the rumor about Cohen wanting Vanderpump to return to RHOBH, Richards joked  on her January 2025 Amazon Live, âI think thatâs always something that gets thrown out thereâŚusually by her.â
