Ariana From Landman Is Gorgeous In Real Life - Glam
"Landman" comes from "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan, and one of its leading ladies, Ariana (played by Paulina Chávez) is striking on and off the screen.

"Landman," the newest series from "Yellowstone" creator Taylor Sheridan, is a gritty, down-to-earth look at the Texas oil industry — and, more importantly, the people caught in its orbit. These folks run the gamut from new-money tycoons to down-on-their-luck locals, so it's no surprise that many cast members wear worn basics and barely there makeup, including working-class character Ariana, played by Paulina Chávez.

From the start, Ariana and her husband are a humble, blue-collar family trying to make ends meet. And — spoiler alert! — after a disaster early in Season 1, Ariana is left struggling on her own, now a grieving widow, a single mother, and a woman seeking justice in an unfair world. It seems like her on-screen look has been curated to help this character arc hit home, prioritizing simplicity and relatability with easy elements like camisoles, henleys, blue jeans, thick brows, and Ariana's natural curls.
Let's be clear: Chávez doesn't need glam makeup and high fashion to be pretty. She's a natural beauty, like many of the performers from Sheridan's other gripping shows. (Seriously, Teeter from "Yellowstone" is stunning in real life.) But it's still fascinating to compare Ariana's intentionally subdued "Landman" style to the actor's regular look. Unsurprisingly, Chávez is absolutely gorgeous in real life.

Paulina Chávez likes a relaxed, feminine day-to-day lookAs a Texas native herself, actor Paulina Chávez shares some common ground with her "Landman" character, Ariana. But compared to Ariana's wardrobe — which is very much the look of a young mother, with her fundamental camisoles and minimal accessorizing — Chávez's everyday style is a little more whimsical. For instance, a January 2024 photo shared on Instagram shows Chávez lounging riverside in a dreamy, vacation-worthy ensemble of striped drawstring pants; a sunny, yellow crop top; and an oh-so-fresh white button-up. The post has no caption but does contain a location tag of Italy — and, fair enough, that breezy look would fit in anywhere from the Gulf Coast to the Mediterranean.

In another Instagram post, Chávez shows off a pink jumpsuit that's inspiring us to bring back Barbiecore. The most impressive part is that it's not juvenile and feminine — rather, Chávez elevates the playful one-piece with snatched makeup, dangling earrings, and a black clutch. Where Ariana keeps things basic, Chávez seems to enjoy injecting a little creativity into her daily styling.
Paulina Chávez pushes boundaries with her exciting red-carpet fashionEven further away from Ariana's salt-of-the-earth aesthetic, Paulina Chávez seemingly loves an opportunity to dress up in cutting-edge styles. Attending the 2023 premiere of "The Long Game" at the South by Southwest film festival, Chávez showed she could work a red carpet with the best of them — and while she may be a relative newcomer, she doesn't play it safe. Her SXSW ensemble was a vision in lime, exciting and electric, from her broad-brimmed hat and curve-hugging corset to her perfectly tailored cigarette pants. We'll just go ahead and say it: Chávez was ahead of her time, showing us how to perfectly style the summery "brat green" that replaced Barbie pink before Charli XCX had even made it a thing.

Chávez stunned again at the Los Angeles premiere of "Landman" in November 2024, donning a fashion-forward dress constructed of bold, metallic ruffles. The frock experimented with proportion without going totally over the top, creating a lot of visual intrigue. Along with its asymmetrical hem and the tasteful cutouts along her sides, Chávez nailed a look that was daring but didn't fall into the trap of gaudiness. A++.
Paulina Chávez puts her own stamp on classic ensembles, tooPaulina Chávez is a showstopper in avant-garde fashion, but she's also proven that she can put her own spin on the classics. For example, we're big fans of the vintage black Loris Azzaro gown she wore to the Hispanic Heritage Awards in September 2024. Chávez's moody, Old-Hollywood styling complemented the gown's luxurious beading, from her dark curls to her lace-trimmed elbow gloves. At the same time, her scooped, structural bust and bright-red manicure kept things fresh and edgy instead of fully referential. In short, it was both classic and interesting. Our only critique? It would have been nice for her nails and lips to match for a little extra cohesion.

We're also low-key obsessed with the waistcoat 'fit Chávez wore to a special screening of "Flamin' Hot" in 2023, which was completely flawless. The simple silhouette of the vest and trousers was beyond chic, and her choice to wear the waistcoat without an undershirt was provocative without feeling gauche, emphasizing both the piece's unique neckline and Chávez's graceful beauty.
From pushing the envelope to reimagining timeless looks, Chávez just keeps winning. Needless to say, we can't wait to see what she wears on her next red-carpet outing. It may only be a matter of time until Chávez starts dominating best-dressed lists — like some of her A-list peers, who rocked the best revenge outfits of 2024.
