After Love Island kicked off it’s second All Stars series last week, some viewers might be wondering whether the ITV2 dating show truly delivers on its promise of lasting love.

While the villa is known for its explosive drama, from fiery recouplings to awkward love triangles, plenty of couples have defied the odds and built strong relationships away from the spotlight.

Take Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, who became fan favorites after meeting on the show in 2022. For over two years, they seemed like one of Love Island’s most solid pairs, but reports in January suggest their romance may have quietly ended. According to The Sun, Tasha has been spotted on celebrity dating app Raya, though neither has addressed the speculation.

Meanwhile, other Love Island couples are proving the show can be a springboard for real, enduring romance. From engagements to babies, and even whispers of rekindled love between Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, the series continues to surprise skeptics and romantics alike.

Infact, among the 12-strong couples that are still together there’s been four weddings, and eight babies, with hopefully a few more on the way as they continue to prove they’re each other’s type on paper.

Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie, All Stars 2024

Another love story to emerge from the All Stars series is Sophie Piper and Josh Ritchie, who gave romance a second shot on the show and are thriving in life away from the cameras.

The couple celebrated Christmas together and have since traded festive jumpers for swimsuits, jetting off on a romantic getaway to five-star luxury resort, Kandima Maldives .

This year’s tropical escape mirrors last winter’s sun-soaked trip but comes with far less drama and far more love.

Molly Smith and Tom Clare, All Stars 2024

The first-ever All Stars series proved to be a game-changer for love, especially for winners Molly Smith and Tom Clare.

Despite only getting together a year ago, the couple hasn’t wasted any time making big moves in their relationship. By August, they had already purchased their first home together, marking a major milestone in their whirlwind romance.

Looking ahead, Molly and Tom are dreaming even bigger, openly sharing their hopes for marriage and starting a family in the future. For these two, the villa wasn’t just a reality TV experience—it was the beginning of forever.

Whitney Adebayo and Lochan Nowacki, Summer 2023

The 2023 summer series brought plenty of drama, but for fan favorite Whitney Adebayo, the search for love in the villa was a journey in itself.

Dubbed a queen by viewers, some even joked she deserved to win the series solo as she struggled to find her perfect match. But everything changed with the late arrival of Lochan Nowacki, who swept her off her feet and proved to be the prince she’d been waiting for.

Fast forward to now, and the pair are still going strong. Over the festive season, they delighted fans with loved-up Christmas snaps, showing their romance is very much thriving.

Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Winter 2023

Kai was first coupled with Tanyel and then Olivia, before he met Sanam in Casa Amor where he decided to recouple with her.

And their romance proved to be a winning combination as they were crowned the winners of Winter Love Island 2023.

In his exit interview, Kai said: “As soon as we get out of here, that’s when even more effort starts. You can really value someone’s time and effort when you have to put in the time and effort. That’s what I am looking forward to.”

Jessie Wynter and Will Young, Winter 2023

Jessie turned farmer Will’s head immediately when she entered in the villa alongside fellow Aussie bombshell Aaron.

While Aaron appearance was a flash in the pan, Jessie and Will’s romance was not as they survived Casa Amor (just about) and even told professed their love for one another.

Although they didn’t make it to the final, they left the Villa as boyfriend and girlfriend. Since then, they have enjoyed trips to the States and her native Oz to introduce Will to her parents.

Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope, 2022

Series eight proved to be a jackpot season for love, with fan favorites Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope still going strong.

After the self-proclaimed heartbreakers rekindled their romance in the villa following an explosive Casa Amor, they’ve proved their relationship is a match made in heaven.

Their flame is burning so brightly that Dami has swapped his native Dublin for London and moved in with the Aftersun contributor.

On New Year’s Day, the couple treated followers to snaps from a romantic date night. Polack showed off a lavish bouquet of red roses and a sparkling diamond bangle gifted by her smitten boyfriend, Hope, proving their bond is stronger than ever.

Millie Court and Liam Reardon, 2021

Series seven Love Island winners Millie Court and Liam Reardon may have split after just a year together, but their love story wasn’t finished. After parting ways in 2022, the pair reunited in August 2023, proving that time away from the spotlight has been a blessing for their relationship.

Reflecting on their journey, Reardon shared with the Daily Star: "We did go our separate ways last year for a number of reasons. When you're in a relationship that's so public and there's a lot of people involved, you're criticised for this and that."

Despite the pressures that initially pulled them apart, the couple seems stronger than ever, enjoying a fresh chapter away from the constant scrutiny.

Camilla Thurlow and Jamie Jewitt, 2017

Camilla was dealt a terrible hand when she first entered the Villa in 2017, having initially been paired up with Jonny Mitchell, who memorably told her he would feel “emasculated if a girl paid” on a date.

After a few more failed connections, viewers were thrilled when model Jamie Jewitt came in to sweep her off of her feet so much so they wed in 2021 and have welcomed two daughters, Nell and Nora.

Jess Shears and Dom Lever, 2017

Another couple to stand the test of time is Jess Shears and Dom Lever, who paired up early on in the 2017 installment.

Soon after Shears entered the Villa as a bombshell, she was voted out by her fellow Islanders. Although heartbroken by her departure, Dom stayed in the villa for another week before he was eliminated.

Despite fans doubts, the couple married live on Good Morning Britain in February 2018, before they officially tying the knot in Mykonos in October that same year.

They are also now parents to two sons.

Cara Delahoyde and Nathan Massey, 2016

Cara and Nathan won series two of the dating series but briefly split a year after being crowned Love Island winners.

However, the chemistry between the couple was too strong to deny and they rekindled their relationship just before welcoming their first child, Freddie-George, together in 2017.

After their son’s birth, Nathan got down on bended knee at the original villa the show was filmed in 2018. They married that same year – and have since added a daughter, Delilah, to their brood in 2020.

Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen, 2016

Alex and Olivia are one of the show’s biggest success stories having met back in 2016 during series two.

Although they didn’t win, they did become the first ever Love Island couple to walk down the aisle, just two years after their Villa stint in 2018.

Now living in Essex, the couple have since welcomed their first child– a baby boy named Abel Jacob Bowen back in 2022.

Luke Mabbott and Lucie Donlan, series 6 and 5

The world of Love Island often keeps its stars connected, even if they’ve never crossed paths in the villa.

Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott are proof that love can bloom beyond the show.

The pair struck up a connection in 2020, and their romance quickly took off, leading to an engagement just a year later in 2021.

While they haven’t walked down the aisle yet, their relationship continues to thrive. The couple frequently shares glimpses of their idyllic life, from sun-soaked beaches to surfing adventures and jet-setting travels around the globe.

Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury, 2019

For five years, Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury were Love Island’s ultimate power couple. As runners-up of series five, their love story captivated fans who followed their journey on social media. Together, they moved in, bought their dream home, and welcomed their daughter, Bambi, in early 2023.

Later that year, they got engaged, solidifying their fairy-tale romance.

With flourishing careers and a seemingly unshakable bond, the couple embodied the dream Love Island outcome. That’s why their split in August 2024 left fans stunned.

Now, whispers of a reconciliation are gaining traction after they were pictured sharing a kiss on New Year’s Eve sparking hope among fans that their love story isn’t over. Could this be the start of a new chapter for Molly-Mae and Tommy? Only time will tell.
