Former TOWIE star Mark Wright has shared a sweet update on becoming a father for the first time with his wife Michelle Keegan, after the pair announced their pregnancy earlier this year

Mark Wright has excitedly spoken about becoming a father for the first time when his wife Michelle Keegan gives birth later this year.
The TV personality appeared on BBC's The One Show to discuss his latest home improvement series with hosts Roman Kemp and Lauren Laverne when chat quickly turned to his recent baby news.
In the middle of the interview, Lauren interrupted the conversation to extend congratulations to Mark for the impending arrival. She expressed: "We've got to say congratulations because since we last saw you, you and your wife Michelle Keegan have announced that you're expecting a baby. Your first child together, so it's all go on the home front."
Showing his delight, Mark responded: "Thank you very much. Very exciting times ahead, a little bit nerve-wracking but I'm ready. I'm excited!"
Mark Wright shared an update on his baby news (Image: BBC)The conversation took a lighter turn when co-star Angela Rippon quizzed him about decorating the nursery, leading to actresses Simone Ashley and Sindhu Vee humorously offering to assist with the preparation.
Mark and former Coronation Street actress Michelle have been in the public eye since their wedding in 2015, having met at The X Factor and crossing paths at various showbiz events.
However, they found themselves in the headlines for less celebratory reasons after a recent scary burglary at their home, which saw the couple taking shelter in a securely locked bedroom.
Mark revealed that he is nervous but 'excited' (Image: BBC)The incident unfolded at around 6:20 p.m, on Tuesday, February 18, when four individuals reportedly forced their way into a residence. Essex Police have stated that the property was searched before the intruders made off.
Officers were dispatched to the scene in Ongar within eight minutes of the alarm being raised. Former Towie celebrity Mark is said to have heard a loud crash as a patio window shattered and swiftly escorted Michelle, 37, to a secure bedroom to await assistance, reports OK!.

It has been reported that the couple's sophisticated security system notified the authorities, resulting in a prompt response by the police to the attempted burglary.
A spokesperson for Essex Police commented: "We are continuing to support and safeguard the victims and are conducting high-visibility patrols in the area."
They added, "We are exploring a number of lines of inquiry including but not limited to forensic opportunities, CCTV and witness statements. Anyone with information should contact us as soon as possible."
