BBC The Traitors fans declare 'predictable' as one feature 'ruined' the series
Fans of The Traitors felt that the show was ruined by the change introduced in this series
The Traitors aired its final episode of series three on Friday night (January 24), and fans took to social media to complain that a twist introduced in the finale "ruined" the game.
In the penultimate episode, Claudia revealed that one contestant would be granted with the ultimate power. This was being "the seer" meaning that the chosen individual would be able to ask one other contestant if they were a faithful or traitor.
At the round table, Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia announced that Frankie had received said power. As Frankie deliberated over Alexander or Charlotte, she invited the latter to speak with her in private.
Fast forward to Friday night and viewers watched as Frankie and Charlotte sat down together. Frankie opened the envelope to reveal that Charlotte was a traitor.
During the following day, Charlotte and Frankie battled it out trying to prove their trustworthiness to the other contestants. Everyone sided with Frankie and traitor Charlotte was banished from the game.
Fans admitted on social media that they believe this twist ruined the game compared to previous series. On X (formerly known as Twitter), @TimAshcroft wrote: "The seer thing hasn't really worked for me. It made the result a bit too predictable."
@lnpsmith89 added: "The Seer twist has made this ending rather poor... They'll obviously now just vote Frankie out too." @RyanS_UK echoed: "nahhhhh this seer twist has ruined the game for Frankie".
@OmobaPaul penned: "The seer just created this unnecessary paranoia" @RichardHK83 admitted: "The real traitors are the producers for changing the format and introducing the seer nonsense."
The episode ended with Leanne and Jake winning the money after making the decision to banish Frankie and Alexander who were also both faithfuls.
