Banking giant offers free cash to do one thing with your money

Nationwide has announced that it will offer certain banking customers a free ÂŁ175 payment, with no current deadline for people to take action.
While other banking giants often run similar promotions, they usually come with an expiration date. However, there is currently no end date for the Nationwide ÂŁ175 deal.
The world's largest building society continues to extend this bonus cash offer to eligible individuals who undertake one simple task with their money. Nationwide have even offered to help complete the process.
To qualify for the money, customers will need to switch to Nationwide from a non-Nationwide bank account with at least two active Direct Debits. It has to be done online and customers have to close your old account when you switch - but Nationwide can handle that for you.
You'll also need to complete the switch within 28 days and deposit at least ÂŁ1,000 into the account within 31 days of requesting the switch. This deposit cannot be a transfer from another Nationwide account or Visa credits.
Additionally, you must make at least one purchase using your debit card, with certain transactions, such as gambling, not qualifying. Switchers can claim the ÂŁ175 when switching to either a FlexPlus, FlexDirect or FlexAccount.
Existing customers who already hold one of these accounts can still receive the cash, provided they switch from a non-Nationwide provider and meet the other criteria, reports the Express. When you make the switch to a new bank account, rest assured that your entire list of payees â essentially anyone you've ever sent money to â will be transferred over.
Additionally, any new payments you've arranged will also move to the new account. Your regular income streams, whether it's your salary, benefits, or pension, will automatically follow suit, as will your recurring outgoings such as bills.
Finally, don't worry about transactions sent to your old account; a safety net is in place to "catch" these payments and redirect them to your new account.
