Get ready to learn more about Kim Min Jung and Kim Ji Eunâs tragic past on âCheck in Hanyangâ!
Set in the Joseon era, âCheck in Hanyangâ is a new romance drama about four young people who become âinternsâ at Yongcheonru, the grandest inn in all of Joseon. Bae In Hyuk stars as Lee Eun Ho, a prince who is secretly hiding his identity, while Kim Ji Eun plays Hong Deok Soo, a woman who disguises herself as a man to join Yongcheonru.

Previously on âCheck in Hanyang,â it was revealed that Master Innkeeper Seol Mae Hwa (Kim Min Jung) was the reason Hong Deok Soo had entered Yongcheonru. Going against her fatherâs dying wish to ânever go to Yongcheonru, no matter what,â Hong Deok Soo joined the inn as an intern in order to meet Seol Mae Hwa, who had killed her father years ago.
The drama also revealed glimpses of Hong Deok Sooâs past relationship with Seol Mae Hwa from when she was a child. Back when Seol Mae Hwa was her fatherâs student, the two were especially close, and Seol Mae Hwa was even the one to teach her how to win at dice. However, their story abruptly ended in tragedy when Hong Deok Soo witnessed Seol Mae Hwa killing her father.
In the upcoming third episode of the drama, Seol Mae Hwa will recall the young Hong Deok Sooâwho then went by the name of Hong Jae On. This time, viewers will get to see things from Seol Mae Hwaâs perspective, through her memories instead of Hong Deok Sooâs. As their past is gradually revealed, there will be unexpected twists in their story.
