Beyoncé and Jay-Z's daughter Rumi Carter made a rare public appearance on her Cowboy Carter world tour.
Newsweek reached out to Beyoncé's representative via email for comment.
The Context
The tour kicked off on Monday night at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. It lasted two hours and 45 minutes, per The Los Angeles Times, and featured songs off her Grammy Award-winning album Cowboy Carter. She also sang past hits like "Crazy in Love" and "Formation," as well as renditions of The Beatles' "Blackbird" and "The Star-Spangled Banner."
Rumi Carter and her twin brother, Sir Carter, were born on June 13, 2017. While their older sister, Blue Ivy Carter, 13, is more prominently in the spotlight—often appearing with their mom onstage—Rumi Carter will occasionally step out, while Sir Carter largely prefers to stay out of the public eye.
In 2019, Beyoncé's mom, Tina Knowles, spoke out on the twins' different personalities.
"The girl is really just going to rule the world, and the boy is kind of laid back and chills like the dad," she told Us Weekly at the time.

On Monday, Rumi Carter appeared alongside Beyoncé onstage as she sang "Protector."
Pop culture news account Pop Base shared a snippet of the moment on X, formerly Twitter.
"Beyoncé brings out her youngest daughter Rumi Carter at the COWBOY CARTER Tour during 'PROTECTOR,'" Pop Base captioned its post.
In the clip, the 7-year-old can be seen hugging her mom before the pair hold hands and walk toward the audience. Big sister Blue Ivy Carter, meanwhile, danced behind them.
"Give it up for Rumi, y'all," Beyoncé said, as the crowd cheered.
At the time of publication, the post racked up more than 382,400 views.
Rumi Carter's voice is featured at the beginning of "Protector" on Cowboy Carter. She can be heard asking Beyoncé, "Can I hear the lullaby, please?"
The song appears to be a tribute to her children and motherhood.
The lyrics read: "I first saw your face in your father's gaze. There's a long line of hands carryin' your name. Liftin' you up so you will be raised. Even though I know someday you're gonna shine on your own, I will be your projector."
In an interview with Vogue in 2018, the Destiny's Child alum revealed she had a difficult second pregnancy.
"I was 218 pounds the day I gave birth to Rumi and Sir. I was swollen from toxemia and had been on bed rest for over a month," she told the outlet. "My health and my babies' health were in danger, so I had an emergency C-section. We spent many weeks in the NICU."
Beyoncé—whose full name is Beyoncé Giselle Knowles—added of Jay-Z: "My husband was a soldier and such a strong support system for me. I am proud to have been a witness to his strength and evolution as a man, a best friend and a father. I was in survival mode and did not grasp it all until months later."
