Beyoncé reigned supreme at the 67th Grammy Awards, finally taking home the coveted Album of the Year award for “Cowboy Carter.”

“I just feel very full and very honored,” Beyoncé said in her speech with daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 13, by her side.

Despite being the most decorated artist in Grammy history earning a whopping 99 nominations throughout her career, this marks Queen Bey’s first time winning the top award of music’s biggest night.

In her speech, the 43-year-old artist acknowledged the journey it has taken to reach this milestone.

“It’s been many many years,” she continued. “I want to thank the Grammys, every songwriter, every collaborator, every producer, all of the hard work. I want to dedicate this to Ms. Martel and I hope we just keep pushing forward, opening doors.”

Last year, the “Renaissance” artist’s husband rapper, Jay Z, used his Dr. Dre Global Impact Award acceptance speech to call out the Recording Academy for consistently snubbing his wife for the prestigious award.

“We love y’all. We want y’all to get it right,” he said. “I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than anyone and never won Album of the Year. So, even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work.”

He continued, “Think about that. Most Grammys, never won Album of the Year. Some of you may get robbed. Some of you don’t belong in the category. When I get nervous, I tell the truth.”

Beyoncé had been nominated previously in the category for “I am.. Sasha Fierce,” “Beyoncé,” “Lemonade” and “Renaissance.”

In April of 2024, Beyoncé released her highly anticipated eighth studio album “Act II: Cowboy Carter,” which explored themes of women empowerment, black country music history, and motherhood.

The 27-track LP also featured Post Malone, Miley Cyrus, Shaboozey, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson and Tanner Adell.

Beyoncé becomes the fourth black woman to win album of the year, starting with Natalie Cole in 1992, Whitney Houston in 1994 and Lauryn Hill in 1999.
