Jeff Brazier is said to be embroiled in a long-standing feud with Jackiey Budden, the maternal grandmother of his sons Bobby and Freddy Brazier. The family disputes have escalated to the point where legal intervention has been necessary, with the latest developments unfolding.
Bobby, 21, and Freddy, 20, are the sons of TV personality Jeff Brazier, 45, and the late Jade Goody, who sadly lost her battle with cervical cancer in 2009. The father and sons have often presented a united front at public events, from Bobby's appearance on Strictly Come Dancing in 2023 to Freddy and Jeff's participation in Celebrity Race Across The World last year, reports the Mirror.

The TV star, who has featured on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, is believed to have hired a barrister ahead of an upcoming court date, aiming to shield Freddy from "a relationship that has been incredibly detrimental to his wellbeing".

'Pitfalls and stumbling blocks'Jeff was with Jade for two years and welcomed sons Bobby and Freddy, and following the Big Brother star's death at the age of 27, the brothers lived permanently with their dad. Jeff opened up about the friction with Jade's mum, Jackiey, mentioning the "pitfalls and stumbling blocks" when trying to keep things friendly, especially concerning the children.
Citing an example of the tension, Jeff detailed how Jackiey went on to spoil the youngsters with "unsuitable" gifts that he'd often have to "confiscate". He recounted instances where she bought a hamster and a mobile phone for the boys, who were both under 10 at the time, without discussing it with him first, adding to his parenting challenges.
Recounting one particular instance, Jeff recalled: "Late nights and excessive amounts of sugar are a grandparent's prerogative and were the least of my concerns. I got a phone call from an excitable Freddy telling me he was now the proud owner of a hamster! Great, I feel I have more responsibility than I really know what to do with as it is, let alone introducing a pet into the equation. As I explained to Jackiey, it would have been nice to have been asked because now I've been put into a position where I have to be the mean parent who says no and ruins the fun."

Yep, a year ago she got them a phone each so she could have direct contact with them both and I don't remember being asked if I minded on that occasion either. I understand she wants direct contact but they are just too young to be carrying these things around responsibly so we keep them to the house. I can't fault Jackiey when she's got the boys, I just wish we could work together a little better."
After some time, complications arose leading to a period where Jackiey lost contact with her grandsons for several years.
Jeff previously opened up more about their strained relationship while appearing on This Morning. He divulged: "It has ended very well, but five years ago she went off on her own path and it wasn't quite right to have that contact and she made it quite difficult because she went to Tenerife. But as she settled in herself, the boys kept a lot of contact with her and at the moment she's very helpful and very prominent in their lives."
Two years later, Bobby took to social media to announce that he had reunited with Jackiey after a long hiatus. Responding to a query from a follower about whether he still saw his gran, he expressed that his ultimate aim was to enjoy a Christmas feast with his entire family, which would include 'both his grandmothers'.
Elaborating on their relationship, Bobby said: "Yeah. I didn't see her for ages for way too long. But I went to see her twice recently, and honestly, if there's one woman you shouldn't underestimate, it's my nan. Honestly, she's like a wizard! It's nuts."

Confronted by journalists at the NTAs, Jackiey was questioned about her rapport with Jeff, to which she bluntly responded: "He's a c***." Jackiey didn't hold back, further explaining her stance on Jeff, stating, "he has been one for f***ing nine years."
She recounted the incident, saying: "When I came out for the NTA Awards, I'm loud and it's the drink and someone went 'oh I bet you're really proud' and 'how do you get on with Jeff Brazier' and I said 'he's a c***'. Next minute I'm on the internet and all over the papers."
She added: "Bobby doesn't need that stress on his head. He's my grandson." Meanwhile, her son-in-law Jack Tweedy waded in on the argument and pleaded with everyone involved to make amends in honour of Jade's memory.
"Jade would not want [this]. She would just want peace for everybody. That is what is important," he told MailOnline. He went on to warn Bobby about being scammed by people in showbusiness and added, "I know he has good people around him, a good head on his shoulders, and his dad, Jeff, is looking after him... I found people constantly trying to turn you over and out to get you for their own benefit."

Missing moneyIn 2019, heartbroken former drug addict Jackiey told the Mirror that she still sleeps with her daughter's nightie for comfort and praised Jack for his treatment of her daughter, calling him the 'best boyfriend she ever had'. "He is the only man who never took anything off of her," she said of the star, who didn't receive anything in Jade's will.

In an emotional revelation back in 2014, Jeff shared: "The first thing she did was work out how much it would cost to put the boys through private education until they were 16. The answer was ÂŁ260,000. In her last months, that was what drove her on, even when she was so weak and in terrible pain. It was all that mattered to her. She so desperately wanted them to have the upbringing she had never had."
Jackiey, who received ÂŁ10,000 from her daughter's will, insisted in 2019 that there was still a substantial sum remaining. Yet, just a year later, Jack, Jade's widower who inherited her six year old Volkswagen valued at ÂŁ14,000 but no cash, expressed his concerns about the vanished funds to The Sun.
