Breaking - John Stamos Gives Major Cancer Update on Dave Coulier
John Stamos posted a heartfelt video on Instagram on March 31, revealing that his "Full House" co-star Dave Coulier has beaten cancer.
John Stamos took to Instagram on March 31 to celebrate his “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier officially being cancer-free.
“Last night while I was at Disney World, Dave Facetimed me with some wonderful news. I tried to screen record it and of course, I didn’t have the microphone on or whatever, so I will tell you like this,” Stamos said in the video. “I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude to share that my dear friend Dave has beaten cancer.”
“He fought like hell with strength and heart, and true to form with Dave, a whole lot of humor. We Facetimed constantly during the toughest days, trying to find something, anything to laugh about, and somehow Dave always managed to crack a joke and lift the mood and remind me and himself that joy still exists even in the hardest moments,” he continued. “To everyone still in the fight, I see you. Me and Dave are holding space for your pain and your bravery and your journey. I’m sending you every ounce of strength and light that I have and good vibes. And I hope you get to celebrate your own beautiful victory very soon.”
“Congratulations Dave. I love you so much,” Stamos concluded

In an interview with Parade, Coulier opened up about life since he was diagnosed with Stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Specifically, he detailed the toll it took on his body.
“The symptoms were getting worse and worse with each treatment,” Coulier explained to Parade.. “So neuropathy, which I hadn’t experienced before, started to increase. Nausea started to increase. Dizziness started to increase. They call it chemo brain, where you’re a bit foggy — that started to increase. My days of being able to get up and walk around and be active started to decrease.
He added that there were times he couldn’t even get out of bed even though he “wanted to move around and go out and, you know, work around the house,” because there “was so much cancer-related fatigue that got progressively worse and worse and worse.”
But, when he finished his sixth and final round of chemotherapy, Coulier could hardly believe it was over.
“I was in such a daze when I walked out of the hospital, my wife looked at me [when] we got in the car, and she goes, ‘We forgot to ring the bell,’” he admitted
He had been waiting for a biopsy on a lymph node in his neck, but it was revealed that there was “no sign of cancer.” And with that, he’s ready for all of this to “be in the rear-view mirror.”

In November, Stamos posted a photoshopped photo of himself with a bald head alongside Coulier after his cancer diagnosis was revealed. And that immediately received a lot of backlash, with people saying it was insensitive.
However, Coulier explained the true meaning behind these photos and told Parade that he has no regrets about it.
“I think people misunderstood my personal relationship with my buddy John Stamos,” Coulier stated. “He knows what makes me laugh, and when he walked out like that, I fell on the floor laughing. It wasn’t us making fun of others so much as it was: Let’s laugh our way through this because this is a tough journey.”
“That’s what was confusing to both John and I. We’re not trying to send any kind of weird message to people or making fun of people. This is he and I sharing our personal relationship together, and so, we apologized,” Coulier added. “Then we just thought, ‘Why are we apologizing? We don’t need to apologize. This is our friendship.’ So that was kind of how we rode through that.”
