Britain's Got Talent in chaos as contestant suddenly pulls out mid-show
Britain's Got Talent fans were hoping to watch eight acts on stage, but unfortunately one was unable to perform during the first live semi-final.
Britain's Got Talent descended into chaos as one act abruptly pulled out of the competition during the show. The first live semi-final kicked off on Saturday night, with eight acts hoping to impress the judges and viewers with their performances.
The first act of the night was dinosaur rock band Heavysauras, who left the judges divided with their unique production. Eight-year-old Teddy Magic was due to follow, however, he failed to appear on stage.
Halting the show, presenters Ant and Dec announced that the young magician wasn't ready to perform, but held out hope that he would take to the stage later in the programme.
However, it was eventually confirmed that Teddy had pulled out of the show all together.
Dec told the audience: "Teddy wont be performing tonight but we hope to see him later on in the series."
The Geordie duo addressed Teddy's absence on Instagram, telling their followers that he "wasn't ready" to perform. Halfway through the show, Ant declared: "That's live telly, folks."
He added: "Poor little Teddy wasn't quite ready. He needs to compose himself."
Dance group The Blackouts received Amanda Holden's golden buzzer, meaning they became the first act to make it through to the final.
They were joined by Vinnie McKee, who became the second finalist after beating singer Linda Mudzenda and magician Eden Choi.
"I'm flabbergasted," the Scottish singer told Ant and Dec after learning he'd received the most votes.
But after Vinnie was announced as the winner, furious viewers flocked to social media to brand the show a "fix".
One fumed: "No way #BGT Was that a public vote !! Mediocre pub singer wins ! No way total fix by #SimonCowell."
Another outraged fan wrote: "LINDA IS OUT?! A f*****g fix. Vinnie is good but heās not world class talent. What a mess this semi final was, possibly the worst semi final weāve ever had. Simon get that lie detector helmet on."
Hitting out at Simon, a third posted: "Oh what a surprise itās simonās gold that won ????? simon isnāt even trying to hide the fixing anymore."
