The tables were turned on tonight's episode of Britain's Got Talent as the hard-to-impress Simon Cowell received the golden buzzer treatment for a change.
Magic act The Hacker traded places with the long-running record executive during his routine, with the 65-year-old taking to the stage and putting himself in the shoes of a contestant.

“It’s time for the judge to be judged,” the Hacker said before taking Cowell’s place at the judge’s table.
Cowell received critique from his fellow panellists as The Hacker, whose identity and voice were disguised, had the audience and fellow judges in hysterics by mimicking Simon's iconic lines.
Then, in a bold move, the hopeful performer decided to press the coveted golden buzzer.

The bizarre move left fans “confused” as acts on Britain’s Got Talent always get told whether they’re through to the next round or not.
Viewers took to X to discuss the strange sequence of events, with one user with the handle @Edwardl4817 writing: "Well, that was the best golden buzzer moment ever since Bruno broke his last year!", while @greglee91 commented: "The hacker giving Simon the golden buzzer was absolutely brilliant."
Other fans were left questioning whether the golden buzzer moment meant the Hacker would go through or not.
@bluelaur11 asked: "The hacker was creepy but funny does that mean he’s got the golden buzzer now I’m confused?"
@LaurenLizzy2 wrote: "Does that golden buzzer even count? Is the hacker through or not?"
Elsewhere during tonight's episode, a drag queen who has faced “a lot of rejection” was awarded four yeses from the Britain’s Got Talent judges after a “fantastic” operatic performance.
Bucket from Taiwan played Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody using rubber chickens.

The 39-year-old received three red buzzers but still got through to the next round.
Gym owner Matthew Riddall performed a strongman routine, which involved him lifting heavy items, and a performer called Made In Vietnam received four yeses following a dance routine that made use of lasers.
