Shields made the comments during the January 13 episode of the Call It What It Is podcast hosted by Grey's Anatomy actresses Camilla Luddington and Jessica Capshaw.
"I had the best time in my life dancing with her mother," Shields admitted, saying it was "surreal."
"She was so kind to my daughter, she gave her a bracelet off her wrist," Shields added.
The actress was referring to the tradition at Swift concerts where fans exchange bespoke, handmade "friendship bracelets" that feature details about themselves such as their names and other decorations.
Capshaw revealed that Andrea had also gifted her young daughter, Poppy, a friendship bracelet when they attended an Eras concert.
The conversation between the three actresses then shifted to Shields' praising Swift for discussing body image and the pressure to look perfect during her 2020 documentary, Miss Americana.
In the movie, Swift openly discussed how the media and entertainment industries caused her to have an unhealthy relationship with her body. It even led to her exercising excessively while not eating enough food, but eventually learnt to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
Swift also addressed the pressure about her body in the music video for the song "Anti-Hero" from her album Midnights, but was accused of "fatphobia" because she has always had a skinny figure.
"I remember watching the documentary and she was talking about her relationship with food... which she knew was not that sustainable and that was not literally nutritive... and her saying that her mantra in those moments of self doubt about that particular issue was 'we're not going to do that,'" Shields said.
She spoke out how as public person she has also learnt to be kinder to herself, because when "the self doubt" creeps in you learn to "have conversations with yourself where you're interrupting the cycle saying 'nope not on my watch,'" Shields added.
"She's role-modeling goodness that's so necessary," Shields said of Swift.
Shields also documented her attendance the the Eras concert in November on her Instagram account.
"The very best night with my girls & 'mama swift' more to come!!!" Shields captioned the November post.
