Bruce was seen in a short clip personally thanking first responders in Los Angeles amid the ongoing wildfires.
Sharing the moment on Instagram, his wife, Emma, posted a black-and-white video showing the 69-year-old actor wearing a New York Yankees cap as he warmly shook hands with a Los Angeles police officer and posed for a photo.
Bruce looked happy in the clip as he interacted with the first responders. In her caption for the post, Emma, 46, mentioned that the video was filmed a day earlier.
"Spotting a first responder, Bruce never missed a chance to show his gratitude with a heartfelt handshake and a 'thank you for your service.' Yesterday was no different," she wrote.

The Instagram clip marks Bruce's first public sighting since 2022, following his family's announcement that he was diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder that led him to step away from acting.

In 2023, the Willis family revealed that Bruce had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), a progressive disorder that causes the frontal and temporal regions of the brain to shrink.

The photo showed the couple standing in shallow water at sunset, wearing swimsuits. "17 years of us," the actress wrote in the caption.
She openly reflected on how anniversaries, once filled with excitement, now bring a mix of emotions.
"If I'm honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach," she admitted.
Emma shared that she allows herself 30 minutes to sit with the pain and grief, questioning, "Why him, why us."
However, after that, she chooses to move forward and focus on what remains: unconditional love.

"I feel blessed to know it, and it's because of him. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat," she added in her anniversary post.

The model told the publication that the kids witnessed the movie star's health "decline" before he was even diagnosed with dementia.
"I've never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They've grown up with Willis declining over the years," Emma said. "I'm not trying to shield them from it."
She further revealed Willis' disease is usually "misdiagnosed" and "misunderstood," noting that getting a proper diagnosis helped her learn what the actor was going through.
"Finally getting to a diagnosis was key," she said, "so that I could learn what frontoÂtemporal dementia is and I could educate our children."

Heming also shared that the signs of Willis' dementia struggles weren't immediately obvious, noting that the disease "whispers."
Demi Moore Says Bruce Willis Is In A 'Stable Condition'Last month, Bruce's ex-wife, Demi Moore, gave an update on his well-being amid his battle with dementia.
In an interview with CNN, the 62-year-old actress explained that the actor is "in a very stable place," but it hasn't been easy watching him struggle.
"Given the givens, he's in a very stable place at the moment," she shared. "And I've shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely. It's so important for anybody who's dealing with this to really meet them where they're at, and from that place, there is such loving and joy."
Moore added that watching a loved one struggle with the condition is "very difficult" and is "not what I would wish upon anyone."
"There is great loss, but there is also great beauty and gifts that can come from it," she added.
