Bruce Willis Thanks First Responders Amid Ongoing L.A. Wildfires
Bruce Willis, who has remained largely out of the spotlight after being diagnosed with FTD, shares rare video thanking first responders

Emma Heming Willis shared a rare video of her husband, actor Bruce Willis thanking emergency responders amid the Los Angeles wildfires.
The brief black and white video, shared via Instagram on Thursday, January 16, showcased Bruce wearing a hat and a corduroy jacket while on the street conversing with police officers.
While chatting with the men in blue, Bruce is seen shaking their hands as one of the officers can be seen telling the actor, “We appreciate you.”
“Spotting a first responder,” Emma captioned the video, “Bruce never missed a chance to show his gratitude with a heartfelt handshake and a ‘thank you for your service.”

“He really is an amazing human — nothing can take that from him,” another commenter added.
One viewer wrote, “Such a beautiful caring man. They will appreciate it so much too.”
The video comes as Los Angeles continues to battle ongoing wildfires.
In February 2023, the Willis family shared news of Bruce’s frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.
Ever since, the actor had remained largely out of the limelight, popping up every so often in a photo shared to one of his daughters’ Instagram pages.
Bruce is dad to 36-year-old Rumer Willis, 33-year-old Scout Willis, and 30-year-old Tallulah, whom he shares with ex-wife actress Demi Moore.

During a September chat with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie on Today, Tallulah explained that “it’s hard” watching her father deal with frontotemporal dementia, an incurable, rare brain disorder that affects the frontal and temporal lobes.
“There’s painful days but there’s so much love,” Tallulah said. “And it’s really shown me to not take any moment for granted and I really do think that we’d be best friends. I think he’s very proud of me.”
