Celebrity Big Brother stars JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes have seemingly angered their housemates with their latest antics. Fans of the ITV1 show are convinced a bond is growing between the pair.

Last night, JoJo and Chris were seen exchanging messages, with fans desperate to work out what they were saying. Some were convinced they could be sharing love messages, whilst others thought it was about Ella. However, has JoJo and Chris now seemingly confirmed exactly what the messages are about as they got punished for their rule break?

Tonight, Big Brother gathers Housemates in the living room and tells them of a rule break. "This is Big Brother. Before you entered the house, the rules regarding attempting to communicate in code or write messages were clearly explained to you," Big Brother says.

"Today, that rule was broken. At 1:59am in the bedroom, JoJo wrote messages on Chris’ hand in secret. Chris gave JoJo his hand and said, 'you can write it out'. JoJo then wrote on Chris’ hand and said 'It makes sense, think about it.'"

Big Brother then tells Chris and JoJo to stand up," as JoJo says: "I solemnly swear, put my hand on a bible, it had nothing to do with nominations." Big Brother then tells them: "Chris, JoJo, you have broken a fundamental rule of the Big Brother house and you will be punished. You have communicated in secret so from now on your conversations will be anything but… JoJo, Chris, until further notice you are only permitted to speak through a megaphone for all to hear."

However, whilst they don't seem too bothered by this, the other housemates seem frustrated. Ella then said: "I told you they’ve been having secret conversations," as she discussed it in the bedroom.

"But that’s not a punishment, that’s a punishment for us. They’re laughing because they’re annoying us," Daley added, as Angelica said: "Big Brother likes to put a cat amongst the pigeons."

"A cat amongst the pigeons? That’s two massively loud hyenas amongst a flock of doves," Danny shared, with Daley adding: "You know it’s part of the plan. Every time they get a punishment and all that, they get the airtime."

JoJo and Chris have become firm friends since entering the house, with the pair seen cuddling in bed with Chris stroking JoJo's back. Fans of the show have been taking aim at JoJo's partner Kath and leaving vile and taunting messages on social media.

However, others have insisted they are just platonic. One wrote: "Why can’t people see Chris and jojo are platonic , people really do try to see the sex in everything #CBBUK," as another agreed: "before people get weird people that are friends like chris and jojo are allowed to have platonic intimacy & it doesn’t need to be s/xual or even romantic #CBBUK."
