Call the Midwife season 14 has just come to an end on BBC One and the finale was an emotional rollercoaster for Nancy Corrigan (played by Megan Cusack). With her wedding just around the corner, she confided in some of her closest friends at Nonnatus House about her pregnancy.
She believed she was only seven months along, but it transpired her baby was a little further along than she had expected and it decided to make an early arrival. A terrified Nancy gave birth to a baby girl in the ambulance with help of Nurse Crane (Linda Bassett).
Viewers then saw Nancy and Roger Noble (Conor O'Donnell) tie the knot as the residents of Poplar came together to celebrate the happy couple. Ahead of the finale airing, Nancy actress Megan announced she was leaving the series for good to focus on theatre projects.
Fans also saw Trixie Aylward (Helen George) travel back to America as she had another wedding to attend, continuing to split her time between America and England.

Cyril and Rosalind in the season 14 finaleWill there be a season 15 of Call the Midwife?Yes, the BBC renewed the drama for two more seasons back in 2023, meaning there will be another series.
At the time of the renewal, creator Heidi Thomas said she was "overjoyed" that the drama would move into the 1970s.
She added the new series will explore the lives of the midwives and nuns in their personal and professional lives at the convent they work at - Nonnatus House.
She said: "We are a family behind the scenes, on the screen, and in front of the telly, and I'm thrilled that we're all heading into the 1970s together."
When is season 15 of Call the Midwife likely to air?Although an official release date is yet to be announced, the new season is likely to follow the same release schedule as previous seasons.
A Christmas special will mark the start of the new season, followed by new episodes which begin airing from January.
Sister Catherine became an official member of the orderHow many episodes will Call the Midwife season 15 have?Series 15 will include eight 60-minute episodes along with the usual Christmas special.
As has been the case with previous seasons, the episodes are likely to air weekly on Sundays on BBC One.
Dame Pippa Harris, executive producer, said the longevity of the show is a "tremendous achievement and it's a testament to the passion and dedication of our cast and crew, of whom I'm very proud".
Filming for the new season gets underway in April, so more updates will become available then.
