Cardi B made a shocking revelation during a heated Instagram Live session, sharing that her uncle had been deported.
Following the Philadelphia Eaglesâ 40-22 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday (Feb. 9), the Bronx native took to social media to air her frustrations about President Donald Trumpâs presence at the Super Bowl and the intense security that came with it.Â
According to the âUpâ emcee, Trumpâs attendance at the game caused long delays, strict security measures, and even some unexpected wardrobe damage.
âYo, I was too fâking mad today because, you know, Donald Trump and sât,â she said. âHe was at the Super Bowl today and they was giving us a hard time. Oh my gosh. The Secret Service was not playing at that motherfâker.â
The Grammy Award winning rapper then revealed the ordeal had cost her a pricey designer shoe before making a more personal admission.Â
âNow I like him lesser. Now I like him lesser because you didnât have to go to no damn Super Bowl. Fâking up my shoe,â she vented. âNow heâs gonna have toâwell, he definitely ainât gonâ do thatâbring my uncle ⌠back because my uncle got deported.â
While Cardi didnât go into details about her uncleâs deportation, her comments highlight an issue that has affected thousands of families under Trumpâs immigration policies. Since his inauguration, mass deportations, particularly of Latin American immigrants, have been a major point of contention.
