Viewers were left feeling emotional on Thursday (April 24), when Jack and his fellow housemates received their letters from home.
After being challenged to hold a box for the entire day, Jack was treated to a letter from his fiancée Hanni Treweek.
The couple are currently preparing for their upcoming wedding, after he got down on one knee while they were on holiday in Tanzania last year.
With Donna reading the letter, Hanni wrote: “To say I have missed you would be a huge understatement but what an incredible experience it’s been. I’ve been so lucky to have been able to watch you enjoying yourself.
“We haven’t missed one episode. We’re so proud of you for trying something new, for making us laugh, for being resilient and most importantly for being yourself.
“Keep going and shine until the end, you can do this. I didn’t think I could love you even more, but I’m so excited to see you, to marry you and call you my hustabnd. I love you so much.”
Fans watching at home noted that Jack was the only housemate not to cry by his letter, pointing out that he was fast to move on to making himself a cup of tea.
Following the episode, Hanni appeared on ITV2’s Celebrity Big Brother Late and Live to have her say on the moment.
“I think he was really trying to hold it together. I’m actually so emotional from watching that entire episode. I think it was emotional for everyone in that room,” she told Aj Odudu.
She added: “He internalises his emotions, just because we don’s see him cry doesn’t mean he doesn’t find it emotional.
“He internalises it as so many people do and there’s nothing wrong with that. He showed more emotion l than I thought.”
Saying that Jack has ‘been on a journey’ and it’s ‘incredible to see him in the final, Hanni explained what she thinks it would mean for him to win.
“He’ll be in shock that he’s there and so grateful that he’s at the end of the journey… I think he would love to win and it would mean so much to him.
“We’ve known him as David Platt for 25 years, we now know who Jack is. It would be so nice for it to happen,” she said.
