The Japanese striker has been spotted in France ahead of a January transfer to Rennes.
Celtic will bank around £10m from the move - which could see Hoops hero Jota come back in the opposite direction from the same club.
Brendan Rodgers seemed open to the idea of letting Kyogo go and today it emerged that the Parkhead club have reignited interest in former target Mathis Kvistgaarden as a potential replacement.
The Hoops boss wanted the 22-year-old last January and last summer - but the clubs couldn’t agree on a fee.
Until that changes - with Brondby believed to be holding out for at least £7m if not more - Rodgers will call on Adam Idah as his main striker, with Johnny Kenny waiting in the wings for more minutes.
It's also likely Daizen Maeda will be given opportunities to play as a centre forward.
But with Celtic looking to clinch another treble and still fighting on the European front, pundit James McFadden thinks it's a mistake to let Kyogo leave now.
The former Scotland star reckons Celtic should have waited until the summer to sell the player.

Rennes boss breaks silence on Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota transfers
He said on the Open Goal podcast: "It's a good deal to get Jota back but I don't think it is for Kyogo.
"If somebody is willing to pay £10m for him now why would they not pay it in the summer?

"Keep him until the summer.
"It depends who comes in [to replace him] but you'll not get the same movement that Kyogo has.
"There will be people who say he doesn't get involved in the game but if you give him service, his movement is ridiculously good.
"I don't think it's a good idea, personally.
"Who are you going to bring in for £10m?"
At which point host Simon Ferry interjected: "Adam Idah cost £9m and he's nowhere near Kyogo's level."
