Chappell Roan Feeling 'Very Emo' as 2025 Grammys Approach: I've Been 'Feeling Loved and Lonely and Free'
Chappell Roan said she is feeling "very emo" ahead of the 2025 Grammy Awards. The "HOT TO GO!" singer is up for six awards.

Chappell Roan is feeling all the feelings.
On Wednesday, Jan. 29, the "Red Wine Supernova" singer shared her thoughts ahead of the 2025 Grammy Awards on Instagram. Roan, 26, shared a series of selfies sitting in a car makeup-free days before music's biggest night.
"Hey girls I just woke up. Good morning booboos," she began her post. "Itâs Grammy week. I am very emo. My heart feels warm and fuzzy with all the support I have been given this past year. I hope you can understand that this has been incredible and scary and spiritual and confusing."
"Iâve been crying tears of joy and grief and feeling loved and lonely and free," she continued before expressing her gratitude to fans who tuned into her music.
"Ultimately, I am grateful for every one of you who gave my music a little spin and showed your ass up to shows and festivals. Because yall are rockstars I feel like a rockstars :) Damn I am cheesy lowkey. Whatever anyway."

The "HOT TO GO!" singer added that she "loves" the performance she's preparing for audiences at home during the broadcast before sending love to the "queer community."
"And girl no matter what, just know when Iâm up on stage, all Iâm really feeling in my heart is love to the queer community especially those in places where it is unsafe to be yourself, I see you."

Roan is up for six Grammys this Sunday: best new artist, record of the year, best pop solo performance and song of the year with "Good Luck, Babe!" along with album of the year and best pop vocal album with The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess.
Should she take home a gramophone, Roan joked that she may say something "controversial."
When asked by Zane Lowe during A Carpool Karaoke Christmas, if she had a speech written weeks before the ceremony, she quipped. "I donât have a speech yet, but you know me. Iâm going to say something controversial. Why not?"

She also spoke about how honored she felt to have been nominated at the Grammys as a "gay artist."
"How amazing is it that a gay artist wrote a gay song that went No. 1 with a gay writer who did not grow up in the industry, did not have an in, has been busting her ass for a decade?" Roan reflected.
The 2025 Grammy Awards airs live on Sunday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS and Paramount Plus.
