Christina Applegate Calls Out ‘Real Sick’ Trolls For Mocking LA Fire Victims
The actor slammed people who think only "stupid Hollywood people" live in the Los Angeles-area.
Christina Applegate is slamming the “real sick” people who have mocked celebrity victims of the ongoing wildfires that have devastated the Greater Los Angeles area.
During Tuesday’s episode of her “MeSsy” podcast, which she hosts with fellow actor Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Applegate, 53, shared that she and her daughter Sadie are on “constant alert” to find out if they will have to evacuate their home again amid the fires.

“Sopranos” star Sigler said “there’s not really words” for the terrifying blaze. That prompted Applegate to unleash her thoughts on the people online who’ve said the massive wildfires — which have destroyed thousands of homes, schools and businesses and have left at least two dozen people dead — are a good thing.
“You know what I have words for? Fucking people who are saying that it’s, you know, good. ‘It’s Hollywood and those stupid Hollywood people’ — like, you’ve gotta be kidding me,” Applegate replied.
The “Dead to Me” star tried to shut down misconceptions that people who live outside LA have about the city, claiming that some believe “celebrities are walking around running everything.”

“We’re a small portion of the city,” Applegate explained. “I mean, this is a city of people that are working their asses off at fast food chains or, you know, fucking builders and painters, and it’s a myriad of groups of humans here. So to say ‘good riddance’ is real sick, and I’m not liking that whatsoever.”
When Sigler urged Applegate to “tune out” the negative comments, the “Married... with Children” star agreed, replying, “I’ve tuned it out because they’re ridiculous, but I’m calling them out right now.”
Sigler went on to say that the city’s residents are “there for big dreams” and “work their fucking asses off.

“And sure. Is there a group of people that have been affected that will have the ability to rebuild their lives — I wouldn’t say easily, but soon? Yes. And are there thousands of other people that literally have no idea where they will begin? Yes. And we have to hold both of them in our hearts.”
Elsewhere in the episode, Applegate, who told listeners that she was recently able to return home after spending two nights evacuated in a hotel last week, shared that she and her family have been on “constant alert.”
