Claudia Winkleman fights back tears in 'emotional' The Traitors admission
It was an emotional night for The Traitors host Claudia Winkleman, who appeared to fight back tears as she watched the finale back on the Uncloaked finale episode on BBC One
The Traitors' fans were left on the edge of their seats as the BBC One series aired its dramatic final episode, crowning the 2025 champions. The emotionally charged episode wasn't just a rollercoaster for the contestants, but also for host Claudia Winkleman, who held back tears while discussing the filming of the show.
On The Traitors: Uncloaked, which aired right after the finale, Claudia confessed to host Ed Gamble that re-watching the episode was "very emotional". "My eye make-up is deeply smudged, even more than usual. I found it very emotional," she said about the finale.
"The last three days were very emotional because Minah went and Charlotte was brilliant. Freddie didn't want to be a Traitor and he was amazing...It was very emotional and very tense."

Later in the episode, Claudia became visibly upset when Charlotte and Leanne discussed a private moment they shared in the kitchen, where they talked about Charlotte being a Traitor. Claudia admitted, her voice breaking, "It really made me cry. I was watching upstairs - I can't cry now. I was watching you both in the kitchen." Ed, the host of Uncloaked, lightened the mood with a joke, saying: "I mean it would help our ratings if you had a little cry."
In a dramatic finale of The Traitors, Leanne and Jake emerged victorious, pocketing the hefty £100,000 prize after they managed to outwit their fellow contestants Charlotte, Alexander, and Frankie. Earlier in the episode, Frankie had gained the upper hand by discovering Charlotte's true allegiance as a Traitor, thanks to winning the power of The Seer, reports the Mirror.

This revelation led to Charlotte being banished just before the firepit ceremony. With only four Faithfuls remaining, the group made the bold decision to banish twice, resulting in both Alexander and Frankie leaving the game before its conclusion.
Viewers were quick to express their dismay on social media, with some even humorously threatening to "call Ofcom" over Alexander's unexpected departure. Tweets flooded in with comments like "Alexander I am sorry these people can't be trusted, I am contacting ofcom," and others expressing sympathy: "I feel bad for Alexander," Another fan lamented, "They just didn't deserve Alexander."
Echoing the sentiment, one viewer simply posted, "Alexander noooooooo," while another added, "Alexander did not deserve this," accompanied by a stream of crying emojis.
Frankie's exit also sparked outrage, with one fan pointing out, "The only reason a traitor was even found was thanks to Frankie and she doesn't even win. GOODNIGHT."
