Young Claudia Winkleman shares flirting tips in BBC interview
Viewers have been left gobsmacked after digging up an old video of a young Claudia Winkleman, who appears almost unrecognisable in both appearance and voice.
At the tender age of 24, the now-famed TV star was already making a splash on the BBC, featured in a vintage snippet from the archives.
The current host of the popular series The Traitors was once a guest on morning television, billed as a 'dating expert' and 'Chat up Connoisseur'. Long before her iconic fringe became her trademark, Claudia sported a classic 90s hairdo.
In a nostalgic clip from 1996 on BBC One's Good Morning with Anne and Nick, Claudia divulged her best "flirting tips". Presenters Nick Owen and Anne Diamond probed into her romantic encounters, eliciting Claudia's confession that she was rarely approached by suitors but was thrilled when it happened.

She emphasised the significance of "eye contact" and its "real meaning", remarking: "Eye contact. It's all eye contact but it can be terrifying."
She amusingly described scenarios where you might be "making eye contact for an hour and a half and then he'll leave."
When asked if girls enjoy being pursued, Claudia believed they did, but hinted that they often instigate the pursuit themselves, commenting: "If a girl comes up to a guy saying 'do you want a light?', she's got four boxes of matches in her bag. She does not want a match, she wants something else."
She added: "Boys are so sweet and I don't think they realise. The fear of rejection is huge - they have to embrace it."
This throwback clip has resurfaced on social media, leaving fans astonished at Claudia's transformation over the years, reports OK!.

One social media user shared the clip on X, previously known as Twitter, saying: "I can't stop watching this 1996 interview with Claudia Winkleman that is 0% fringe and 100% posh phone voice."
Another chimed in with a similar sentiment, stating: "This era of Claudia and Victoria Coren Mitchell were separated at birth and you can't convince me otherwise."
A different user highlighted her posh accent, adding: "No why does she sound like a member of the royal family?" Another fan concurred, saying: "Claudia: The Princess Diana Years.

Claudia made her return to TV screens on New Year's Day as series three of The Traitors aired on BBC One. After a year-long break, a new group of contestants from various backgrounds headed to a castle in the Scottish Highlands, all vying for the hefty £120,000 cash prize.
After a series full of twists and turns, BBC viewers saw faithful's Leanne and Jake walk away with the cash prize, splitting a staggering £94,600 between them.
The Traitors is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
