Clean Slate: Laverne Cox and George Wallace star in trailer
The new comedy series Clean Slate, starring renowned actors from Orange Is the New Black and the Batman film franchise, has hit Prime Video.
The plot revolves around Harry Slate (George Wallace), a straight-talking Alabama car wash owner who is forced to re-evaluate his life when his estranged child returns home as a proud trans woman named Desiree (Laverne Cox).
Desiree is determined to repair her strained relationship with her father, leading to hilarious encounters as they navigate their differences while living under the same roof.
Mirror US reports that the entire series was dropped on Prime Video on February 6, allowing fans to binge-watch all eight episodes at their convenience.
Clean Slate boasts an impressive cast and is the brainchild of legendary TV producer Norman Lear, known for creating sitcoms like All In The Family and Good Times. Despite passing away in December 2023 at the age of 101, Lear was still actively involved in the show as recently as 2022.
