Coronation Street co-star couple split after two years together
Coronation Street actress Georgia Taylor has split from boyfriend Charlie De Melo after playing on-screen husband and wife.
Coronation Street star Georgia Taylor has reportedly split from her co-star boyfriend Charlie De Melo after two years.
Georgia, best known for playing Toyah Battersby on the ITV soap, started dating her on-screen husband for real in 2022. Charlie played Imran Habeeb in the show before being killed off in a car crash scene.
Now The Sun has reported their separation occurred a few months ago, but there are āno hard feelingsā between the pair.
A source told the publication: āGeorgia and Charlie are no longer a couple, but they remain friends who care about each other deeply.
āThey have lots of happy memories together, but are both really focused on work at the moment and looking forward to the future, there are no hard feelings.ā
Georgia and Charlie made their relationship official in late 2022 by attending a Blur concert together, and shared numerous holidays and adventures with fans via Instagram. But they spent Christmas 2024 apart, and Georgia instead celebrated with her friends and co-stars.
When Charlie was killed off as Imran, Georgia said: āI absolutely adore him. Heās been a dream. Heās so funny so we laugh a lot but he is honestly one of the most supportive people I have ever worked with.
āEven now, weāre still in touch obviously. Heās texting me, āHow did the day go? Are you OK?ā. Heās just a team player. And, I mean, look at him, thereās no complaints there either. Heās beautiful.ā
Georgia has also had a relationship with Casualty actor Mark Letheren, but secretly split in 2022 and both moved out of their shared home. Shortly after, Mark reportedly penned on Facebook: āItās been the worst year after a number of increasingly sh** years. My life finally fell apart.ā
