Coronation Street's Daisy star floors fans with real accent before cobbles exit
ITV Coronation Street fans have been left open-mouthed after hearing actress Charlotte Jordan, who plays Daisy Midgeley, speak in her real accent for the first time
Coronation Street fans have been left open-mouthed upon hearing Charlotte Jordan's actual accent for the first time.
The actress, who's won hearts as Daisy Midgeley since her 2020 inception on the cobbled streets of ITV's Coronation Street, has had her fair share of storylines, from distressing acid attack plots to complex love triangles.
â
And now, she's tangled in a 'who's the daddy' drama involving characters Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) and old flame Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
Amidst the on-screen tension, fans were saddened to learn last month that Charlotte decided to bow out from the show. In an emotional farewell, she shared: "My time at Coronation Street is something I'll always cherish. After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it's time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities."

Viewers were left utterly flabbergasted when they found out that Daisy from their favourite telly show doesnât actually speak with her character's accent. On social media, fans have been in disbelief, with one commenting: "What?! Is she."
â
Someone else replied: "Yeah, she's from Chobham in Surrey. I had to google it when I heard her real accent!" The shock waves kept coming as another viewer tweeted: "Please tell me I'm not the only one who never knew Daisy's voice is NOT actually her real voice. I need a few working days to process this cause WHAT." Yet another fan confessed: "Completely different! I hardly recognised her.", reports Plymouth Live.
Charlotte, truly a Surrey girl, first popped up on our screens in an episode of The Bill back in 2007, under the alias Charlie Evans, and even did a stint as Serna on Nickelodeonâs Summer in Transylvania posing with the same pseudonym.
It was not until 2016, taking the name Charlotte Jordan, that she appeared on the silver screen in Angel of Decay. She has since graced shows like Casualty, Netflix's Free Rein, and been spotted in the short film Tracks.
