Corrie spoilers as dog in danger, Daisy's baby's dad and Lauren's fate revealed
One Weatherfield resident also leaves next week
Coronation Street fans will also be left worrying for the four-legged friends of Weatherfield residents in upcoming scenes as David Platt's mistake comes back to haunt him.
As viewers of the ITV soap know, David is in the bad books of imprisoned drug lord Harvey Gaskell having stolen the money Damon Hay had taken from his brother to help ex-girlfriend Sarah Platt and her troubles with daughter Bethany's botched surgery in Turkey.
He's recently had Radcliffe brothers Matty and Logan on his case, demanding the money back. Thanks to his wife Shona's secret liaisons with DC Kit Green, she managed to get the officer to warn them off, only for him to give them the green life to go after David again when he crossed him over the brief fling.
Next week, while at the police station, David's surprised to bump into Andy, a fellow former prisoner who insists they swap numbers. At No.8, Shonaâs shaken when Lily hands over a piece of paper a man in the precinct gave her to pass on to David. Shona hands David the note from Harvey demanding an extra ÂŁ10,000 in interest.
Davidâs spooked to realise Harveyâs cronies knew who Lily was. David and Shona make a pact to keep tabs on the kids at all times. Things quickly go from bad to worse when Michael calls at No.8 with David, the dog, wrapped in a blanket, and explains to David and Shona that he found him at the side of the road and it would seem heâs been hit by a car.
David and Shona secretly wonder if Harvey is responsible. David returns home with a hammer and baseball bat and tells Shona that they need to protect themselves until they can find the money for Harvey, leaving her deeply concerned.

Elsewhere, it's a bad day in court for Lauren. As Roy Cropper tells the court that Lauren is a kind and caring person, Brie jumps up in the public gallery sporting a sling, claiming Lauren attacked her in the prison. A horrified Lauren assures her barrister she did no such thing.
Laurenâs barrister then tells her that her son, Frankie, is not well and has been taken to hospital. Upset that she is stuck in court and canât go to her son, Lauren tells the prosecution barrister during Max Turner's cross-examination that she is glad Joel Deering is dead.Later at the hospital, Lauren informs Max that Frankieâs fighting an infection. Certain sheâs going to prison, Lauren regrets losing her temper in court and tells Max that she doesnât care about the trial and the only thing that matters is Frankie getting better.
While Lauren keeps vigil by Frankieâs hospital bed, in the courtroom the barristers deliver their closing statements to the jury. When Dee-Dee Bailey calls and tells Lauren that the jury canât reach an agreement Lauren is worried it is a bad sign. With Laurenâs fate in the juryâs hands there is nothing more she can do. Later, she returns to the court for the verdict.

Speaking of court, ahead of her own appearance on the stand having been charged with fraud, Leanne Battersby gives Amy Barlow a cheque for ÂŁ12,0000, explains that itâs from Lesâs compo money and sheâd like her to accept it as part payment towards the money the Institute stole from her.
Later, Leanne arrives in the Bistro and helps herself to a bottle of wine, spotting Debbie Webster storming out after a row with Ronnie Bailey. Leanne invites herself to join Ronnie and orders another bottle from a disapproving Toyah Battersbu. Drunk Leanne drapes herself over Ronnie and flirtily suggests they have some fun. But sheâs aghast to realise Sam Blakeman has entered the bistro and witnessed her behaviour.
The morning after the night before, realising sheâs due in court, Leanne leaps out of bed. Spying Leanne on the street, Debbie drives through a huge puddle and soaks her. As Toyah and Nick Tilsley head down the street, they spot Leanne, soaked to the skin and looking dreadful. Toyah insists on giving her a lift to court.

Having received a community order, Leanne heads out of court telling Toyah she wants nothing more to do with her. Tracy Barlow points out to Leanne that Toyah not only stole her man, but her flat with all her things in it too. What will Leanne do?
Meanwhile, Daniel Osbourne tells Daisy Midgeley he wants her to do a DNA test as he needs to know if sheâs carrying his baby or not. Home alone, Bethany Platt calls the magazine in London and asks them if the job is still available. Daisy books the DNA test and insists Daniel go with her.
Also, having arrived back at the Rovers, Daisyâs appalled to find Jenny Connor has bagged up lots of her stuff to sell as they need cash to give to Carla Connor and that Bethany bought her designer handbag. At the flat, Daniel keeps schtum about where heâs been but is blindsided as Bethany admits sheâs accepted the job in London and wants him to consider a trial move. What will Daniel say?
Later, in the Rovers, Sarah and Daniel celebrate Bethanyâs new job. When Bethany takes Daisy aside and produces the positive pregnancy test she found in her designer handbag, Daisyâs mortified. Assuming Kit Green to be the father, Bethany wishes Daisy well.

As Jenny hosts a lunchtime quiz in the Rovers, Daisyâs stressed out by Kit and Danielâs presence. When Bethany reveals that she and Daniel have set a wedding date, Daisy sees red, what will she do? Jenny finds Daisy doubled up in pain in the back room and insists on taking her to hospital. Kit turns up at the hospital and Daisy invites him to stay for the scan.
At the end of the week, Bethany tells Sarah that sheâs still going ahead with her move to London. As Daniel, Bethany and Sarah carry Bethanyâs things out of the builderâs yard flat, Sarah spots Daisy and rails at her for destroying Bethanyâs relationship. Daisy receives the result of the DNA test.
She reads it, but then deletes it and tells Jenny that the father of her baby is irrelevant and the result shall remain a secret, leaving Jenny stunned.
