Dakota Johnson is extremely devoted to her craft—whether it means becoming a clairvoyant paramedic with spider researcher for a mother á la Madame Web, or engaging in a power imbalanced BDSM workplace relationship for 50 Shades of Grey, she's always up for the challenge. And for her latest project, Johnson quite literally got her face dirty.
Johnson is currently filming Verity, the screen adaptation of Colleen Hoover's book of the same name. While the actress hasn't said much about the film, a look at her as Lowen Ashleigh in the movie was revealed on March 12 and sees her walking the streets of New York City in an outfit complete with clean girl essentials—a taupe gray wool coat, beige shirt and brown bootcut pants work with black leather shoes.

The scene then transforms into an unexpected one, as Johnson's left side of her body is splattered with a thick fake blood, covering her coat, hair, over the ear headphones, and a large portion of her skin. Still in character, Johnson assesses the mess in pure disgust.

The official synopsis of the book reads, "Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime. Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.
Excited at the opportunity for work, Lowen starts going through Verity's notes, not expecting "to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read," including her "recollection of what really happened the day her daughter died." Lowen then develops feelings for Jeremy and she "recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife's words."
Anne Hathaway will star as Verity, while Josh Harnett will take on the role of Jeremy. Verity is scheduled to hit theater in 2026.
Donny Osmond admitted that he knew his wife was the one after seeing her on a double date with his brother, Jay, at an Elton John concert.
