Dan Stevens denies 'Zero Day' character is based on Tucker Carlson
Dan Stevens has confirmed in a recent interview that his character for 'Zero Day' isn't based off the internet famous politician Tucker Carlson.

In the new Netflix thriller Zero Day, Dan Stevens plays a character called Evan Green. He is an outspoken internet celebrity embroiled in a White House investigation looking into a global cyber attack, however, Stevens has now denied heās based on former Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson.
Zero Day has a star-studded cast that includes Robert De Niro, Lizzy Caplan, Jesse Plemons, and Angela Bassett. The series is six episodes long, and in it, De Niro plays a former US President, George Mullen, who is required to come out of retirement to help the United States after a cyber attack puts the nation at risk.
During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, De Niro spoke about shooting the series, admitting, āItās like doing three features back-to-back. Itās a lot of work, but it was well-written and I wanted to do something in New York for five or six monthsā¦ Itās a political thriller.ā
Stevens has also spoken at length about the series, discussing the inspiration behind his character and what it was like working with De Niro. āIt was the perfect dynamic really because thereās this character who is suddenly face-to-face with Robert De Niro, face-to-face with Mullen, face-to-face with this giant figure thatās sort of been looming over the story,ā he said, āIt was kind of thrilling.ā
Given the hostile political atmosphere in the US, there are a number of parallels between characters and people in the public eye. One of these similarities lies with Dan Stevensā character and political commentator Tucker Carlson.
Stevens has gone on record to confirm his character isnāt based on Carlson. āHe is not Tucker Carlson. No,ā he said during an interview with Variety. However, Stevens did reveal that several other people in the past have told him the character reminds them of Carlson.
