Dancing On Ice star Chris Taylor has revealed he had a car crash after taking part in the first live episode.
The Love Island star is currently competing in the ITV ice skating competition and has already suffered a number of setbacks. He was paired with professional partner Vanessa Bauer, who has since had to quit the show after picking up an injury. Chris is now partnered up with skater Robin Johnstone, but had a fall during the latest show.
Speaking to the Mirror about his time on the series so far, Chris revealed it didn't get off to the best start. He was involved in a car crash after the first day at Dancing On Ice and managed to use his stint on the show in his favour. Chris, who is set to appear on the Not My Bagg podcast told us: "The day after the first Dancing On Ice show I had a car accident.
"There was already a few cars on the side of the road who had pranged each other and they were in a bit of a kerfuffle, and I thought, I’m just gonna get out of your way. But I forgot to look and a guy came in on the right hand side. They guy got out and said ‘You’re Chris’ and it ended up being a really nice conversation and he said ‘you skated really well yesterday'.
"Anyway we just sorted it out between us and I backhanded him some cash to save going through the insurance. Not actually sure if I should say that or not! Is it allowed?!" Chris also revealed his chances of winning the show, as he admitted: "I don’t know, I don’t actually know what people vote on.

Do people vote because they like an outfit, because the persons fit, because they skate well? I don’t know I am just hanging on like a thread."
On Sunday's show, Chris was left "gutted" when he fell during his Pokemon inspired routine. Speaking after his performance, he said: "I am gutted. I really wanted to do that justice. Vanessa choreographed it. It’s nothing to do with the situation - I just decked it. But we got up and did the rest."
Vanessa was forced to pull out of the show after suffering an injury. In a video, she said: "I'm here today with rather upsetting news. I am unfortunately not going to be able to continue on Dancing on Ice with Chris. That's really upsetting for me. I have trained Chris since October last year and it is always such an amazing achievement for myself to see someone else progress so much in a skill they've never done before.
"So it's been really rewarding for me to watch this whole journey for Chris [and] the way he's got better week since October and also since the live shows started. I unfortunately had a little accident backstage last week on Dancing on Ice just before the live show on Sunday. And I didn't realise how bad it was then, but we did an MRI and it turned out that I have a completely torn ligament, grade three sprain injury and a major grade two sprain injury."
In her lengthy video, she added: "I shouldn't be skating on an injury like that and so I'm taking all of the advice from the medical professionals here, I am in very good hands," as Chris added: "I'm very very sad but you have an annoying brother for life."
